This is a 1978 Gold Special Edition 4-Speed 400 that has been painted white in the late 90's. There is the typical lower body rust as seen in the pictures, however, the frame has no rust and is heavily undercoated. The interior is original, however, in good condition. I was told when I purchased the car about 2 months ago that the engine only has about 9,000 miles on the the rebuild. It has Edelbrock aluminum performer heads, roller tappit cam shafts, Hooker headers and exhaust, competition frame connectors, Edelbrock Carb, 4-Core radiator, Performance Ignition, newer gas tank and about $5,000 in spare parts as seen in the pictures. I just got the car inspected last week and had to put (4) new tires and a new battery on to pass inspection as you can see in the pictures. My company buys old vehicles to scrap at the junk yard or to part out. We came across this car about 2 months ago and realized it was much to valuable to scrap or part out with all matching numbers. When we purchased this car, we got all of the pictured parts with it. In talking with the previous owner, he said he bought the car from the original owner in Greensburg, Pa. He believed he was the second owner. We have a clean Pennsylvania Title. This will make someone a great driver or to restore back to the original gold special edition! It starts right up and drives great. I probably would keep the car, however, I am a huge MOPAR fan.................. The parts pictured are: Original 400 complete heads, (4) original gold rims from the car, (4) 1979 rims, New fiberglass leaf springs, New brake reservoir/booster, (8) extra lower fender trims, (1) original gold hood scoop, (1) black hood scoop, (1) new chrome mechanical fuel pump, (1) speedometer/tach with a broken speedo needle, Under-hood trim piece, (2) air cleaner assemblies, rear driver side lower quarter panel repair panel, (Not pictured), front seat covers in box, T-top covers.
