With the exception of custom dual exhaust and an N.O.S. right side mirror, the car is original as from factory. Never repainted, aside from touch-ups, all paint, chrome, mouldings, interior, engine, transmission, everything except tires, fluids, and filters and the two upgrade custom parts listed above, are from the Framingham,Mass. assembly plant where the car was produced. If you are a Buick enthusiast and take special interest in the Skylark/GS A-Bodies, this is an original classic cruiser with that noteable Buick 350 torque. Thank you for looking and be sure to contact the seller with any questions you may have. On Apr-15-12 at 22:27:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Take special notice to the steering wheel, dashboard, headliner, rear parcel tray (back dashboard), both bench seats, and the carpet. They are all factory original and in new condition. I have not seen another original, 4-Dr A-Body ('68-'72) without a cracked steering wheel &/or front dashboard. Even the driver's side front seat is factory clean and without wear. This car has been well maintained and appreciated for its pristine appearance. No restoration is needed! On Apr-16-12 at 21:07:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, the Y-pipe was saved when the custom dual exhaust was installed. It's in good condition and will go along with the car if sold. Also, a copy of the production line "build sheet", which lists all of the options which were installed as well as paint and trim codes, will be included. The build sheet was the assembly line's blueprint without the prices. Typically, one was often stuffed into or under the back seat or even under the the carpet of cars during this era. On Apr-19-12 at 21:01:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, there are real advantages of a hardtop sedan versus a 2-dr coupe. The reason I compared the wheelbase of 4-drs (116") to that of 2-drs (112") is simply, the longer the wheelbase, the better the ride. On Apr-19-12 at 22:05:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I too like the looks of many a coupe, but a pillarless (no post) hardtop like this '72 has great lines and a sport look with even greater funtionality. Obviously, the access to the back seat is so much nicer. With the doors being noticeably shorter and lighter, ease of use is a big plus. Close parking quarters and parking lot situations are much easier to deal with in a hardtop compared to that of a coupe which must use a longer and subsequently heavier door in order to gain access to the back seat. Most coupes have excess wear on the interior door panel due to the force needed to pull the door shut useing the armrest door handle. There's also more of a load and wear on these door bushings. So, with great looks, and even greater functionality, a hardtop is as good as it gets!........Wouldn't you really rather have a hardtop Buick! :)On Apr-21-12 at 21:00:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, in '72, the Buick A-Body offered two Skylark series, the Skylark models and the Skylark Custom models. The later being the more expensive line most noteably due to the upgraded interiors and trim throughout as well as certain exterior options only available on the Custom series. On Apr-21-12 at 21:09:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Addional note: This Skylark Custom has the factory F40 Ride and Handling option.
