Relisted . LOW reserve. 1992 PORSCHE 968 Hi There! Thanks for looking! This is a great 1992 Porsche 968. Beautiful white with restored black and tan interior. You will be surprised by how well she handles. Great grip and great stopping. Very balanced car. Very fast! This is a great sports car at a great price! Minor damage the driver side rocker panel just behind door (see pic for dent). I replaced the door with a NOS one. NOT LSD but grip is insane so I never really cared. I will try to answer any questions ASAP. Feel free to ask for my cell# through Ebay. I have had good luck with DAS covered auto transport, they have internet tracking of the vehicle. HERE IS THE GOOD: 1) everything electrical works (except odometer, and I never checked rear defrost) 2) Ice cold AC, better than my new car. WOW! 3) 8 way electric driver and passenger upgrade seats from a newer mid nineties Porsche. very comfortable. 4) Complete brand new German velour carpeting (Cut pile, thick and luxurious, professionally cut and sewn...need to add some velcro for trunk sides) with cabin noise supression added. 5) Koni yellows all four corners. I think these are the adjustable type, but I never messed with them as they are PERFECT for fast corners and bumps. Not too firm, WAY better than stock. 6) big rims, big tires, NO rubbing at all. 225-40-18's front, 275-35-18's rear. plenty on life left, Yokohamas 7) Brand new drilled rotors and porterfield R4S pads on all four corners 8) new power steering reservoir and hose 9) all new parking brake pads 10) new front lower A arm rear bushings 11) New right front wheel bearings 12) Dash and center console have been restored to original look and a special leather Porsche armrest emblem was added. (bonus 944 turbo checkered cloth in center console) 13) Polished cam covers and Cad plated bolts in engine bay 14) Crane multispark ignition unit 15) I placed the original Porsche ECU chip back in when I got the car. It has been in place and working great for over three years. 16) starts right up and runs great 17) sunroof functions flawlessly 18) power steering works great 19) stops on a dime! If you jam on the brakes, you better be wearing your seatbelt. 20) clutch good, but I never checked the thickness 21) Shifts great and has shortened shifter. 22) new leather gaitor on shifter 23) new driver side headlight 24) Newer 968 steering wheel with excellent leather, working horn buttons 25) Car has driver and passenger airbags which have not been disabled (commonly done to these cars) 26) Brand new windshield, crystal clear 27) New front wipers 28) new thermostat and some new coolant hoses 29) new belt tensioners 30) new oil and filter 31) New trans fluid 32) extensive replacement of interior parts to get back to OE 33) New driver and passenger door window seals 34) New leather shift knob 35) exhaust repaired. nice rumble, not loud. 36) I am pretty sure I replaced the clutch master (one of the first jobs..don;t really remember) 37) new trunk struts 38) brand new Porsche radiator 39) air box mod tastefully done 40) all the OE engine covers in place in the engine bay (hard to find) 41) This is a rare early production model. It has original recessed hood badge and slanted "968" rear numbers 42) Excellent brand new floor mats with white piping 43) professionally painted yellow calipers44) New trunk seal45) working stereo/CD/detachable faceplate 46) new hood struts47)Original Porsche tool kit in trunk . 48) air pump(aftermarket)49) anti-theft socket for wheel lugs in tool kit (one anti theft lug per wheel) HERE IS THE BAD: 1) mild pinion bearing whine. I put 3000 miles on this replacement trans with no other issues. 2) Steering wheel a hair off center after new alignment. Car tracks perfectly straight. 3) Missing inner headlight rings (can't tell when lights are down). These were falling off half cracked when I got the car and I removed them. 4) Odometer stopped working at ~116000 miles. I put about 3000 miles on the car or so since I bought it. All other gauges work fine. The gear which may be malfunctioning can be found OdometergearsDOTcom and costs 25$.
