Vehicle Detail

1967 Ford Bronco Sport This is a very nice 1967 Ford Bronco Sport. It is funny to think this vehicle is now 45 years old, boy how time flys, wish I looked this good. It was restored about 10 years ago, by a very good friend of mine, he took a lot of time building it to what you see today. It was not built for show, but was built to be a great little driver, though the end result turned out pretty good looking as well. In the last 10 years it might have been off road maybe twice. I have owned many Bronco's in the past. I have always been a Ford and Mercury guy, growing up with lots of Mustangs. When I was a kid around 20, I owned a 1970 Bronco, it was a lot of fun which I still had it. This one brings back a lot of memories, because it was similar to the one I had back in the 80's, same color, about the same stance. Anyways, this is a very nice rig, in very nice shape. For being restored 10 years ago, it still looks in great shape. I would consider this Bronco a very, very nice driver. You could enjoy it everyday if you like, and take it to shows, and just enjoy it for what it was made for. The exterior is in nice shape. I love rigs like this, what you see is what you get, and older retoration shows you how solid a vehicle is, fresh paint always makes me a little nervous. This Bronco Sport was Painted 10 years ago, but still looks very nice and glossy. There are a few small chips that have been touched up, mostly at the top of the rockers, were you foot my drag across the rocker scuff plate. There are few other minor chips, but very small on the body, I would have to point them out to you pretty much. It has fender flares on it, it was like this when he got it originally. The body is very straight in general, only waves I can pick up are on the doors, not to bad, but that is one big flat peice of metal, so pretty common. Fenders, and quarters all look really straight and nice. the hood is in excellent shape, but has 2 small dings in the front, very light, probably could be fixed by a dent removal guy pretty easy. Again paint and body look very nice for the age. There is no rust, there are no bubbles in the paint, there is no rust underneath, very clean, no floor patches, everything is very solid. The bumpers were custom built by my friend, they are Polished Stainless, they will never rust or pit, they looks great. There is also a custom tailgate panel as well built out of stainless stell. The trim on the sides, and around tailights look good, not dings to speak off, but they could used polished in the future, but they are in nice shape. Door handle on the outside show a little wear on the chrome. All the lights work on the outside, blinkers, brakes, headlights, and Fog Lamps work excellent. The glass looks in good shape, it has been tinted slightly on the doors and the removeable hard top. There are no chips or breaks in the glass. Overall exterior looks in nice shape for a very good driver. Odometer reads 35K, assume it has rolled over at least once. Interior is in nice shape, all redone when he restored it. The seats are in very nice shape, no rips or tears, and very little wear. My friend was a fabricator and loved working with polished stainless steel. He had the door panels made and inserted custom stainless inserts, Scuff plates are all stainless, the headliner trime is all stainless, really take a look inside and you will see that it was a nice job, very subtle. The carpet is in good shape, has a little wear but very minor. The dash pad is in nice shape, it is actually a 1968 dash pad. The glove box door has been chromed, the original glove box door is not with the Bronco, so it needs a new data tag for options if you want in the futre, you can get a new one from Marti Auto Works. The most important thing on a Bronco or Ford truck is the VIN on the Frame, which is there under the hood, I show a picture of it, and it matches the Oregon Title. The Odometer, Speedometer and Fuel gauge all work in the original cluster, the other gauges are not hooked up, they have been transfered over to the gauges in the dash, and they all work. Oil pressure, runs about 40 psi during idle, temp gauge, clock, volts all work. There is a Am/Fm CD player, installed under the dash, with Amp under rear seat, and some nice speakers installed. Overall the interior is very clean, and looks nice. Mechanically it was all gone threw, when he restored it. New Bushings, shocks, springs, brakes. It handles very good for a Bronco, has a little bit of wondering, from the larger tires, but overall it drives nice, and you can drive it anywhere. The engine is a 302 4V, with 3spd stick. The engine has a Carter 4v carb, Weiland 4v intake, Long tube headers, dual exahaust, a few other mods under the hood, but basically a stock good running 302, nothing Hot Rod about it, just built to be a great driver. The transmission shifts nicely as well. The 4wd works good, notice that the shifter has 2 levers, which is a nice upgrade, and allows you to go from 2 high, 2 low, 4 low and 4 high. The engine starts right up, no issues, does not blow any smoke, it actually is running in all the pictures. The radiator works well, no overheating problems. Also has a new battery installed. The wheels are older centerline style, in good shape. The tires are 2 different brands, fronts match and backs match. Most likely you will upgrade to a newer style wheel and tire combo in the future, but these looks nice for now, and have a nice period look to them. Mechanically it seems to be in good shape, and I trust it to drive pretty much anywhere, it is very dependable. He built it to be a good driving rig, and that is what you have here. Also notice underneath, there custom gas tank skid plates that were made for it out of polished stainless. It is NOT a trailer queen, but is a nice Bronco, that you would not be afraid to drive, but would also want to park it far away from anyone else in a general parking lot.
