Vehicle Detail

I have owned the Mustang for about 10 years. My son and I restored it together when I first bought it. We restored it for me, not for him, as it's WAY to fast for a teenager. 400 HP, 412 foot lbs of torque! I was 50 at the time, he was a teenager. When I bought it, it had a salvage title. I was told it had been stolen, hence the title. I have never had any problem with the way it drives or the body, so the title is not an issue. Also, the fact that I essentially rebuilt the entire car, if there was a problem it didn't matter after that. It handles extremely well. I built it to go fast in a straight line and around turns. It does both well! The car is in excellent shape! Suspension.....I restored and replaced all of the suspension parts when we restored it. +New front end a-arms (lowered, as done on a Shelby for better handling) All new bushing. +Four wheel disc brakes (no power brakes, I don't like the sensitivity of power brakes and at the time of restoring a power booster would not fit in engine bay due to larger 351 Windsor. I’m told that they now have remote power boosters that you can get.) +9 inch ford rear end, professionally rebuilt when I restored the car +Custom built sub-frame connectors, welded in, not bolted, much stronger than the ones you would buy +Traction bars +Larger front sway bar +No rust, Central Valley California car...very dry climate +No power steering (takes away HP) Interior.....All new when I restored +headliner, seat covers, dash, carpet, door panels +new Sony CD player with ipod connection and remote control, excellent speakers +still needs the lights on the side panels in back seat area and also a cigerette lighter and glove box panel. All very inexpensive. Overall the interior is in excellent shape. Exterior...All new paint when restored...still in excellent shape +white stripes are painted +paint is in excellent shape, car has been garaged and covered all the time +no dents or door dings +tires and wheels were new when I restored it, however the tires have a lot of tread left, but sun cracks on sidewalls from age. Still very useable. Engine and Transmission....Lots of money spent here! Very fast and sounds great! See spec sheet in pictures. Everything new when restored. Engine has been, and is, very reliable, never once let me down in ten years! I would say that I probably have 10,000 miles on the car since I restored it. The 10,000 miles is an estimate though, as I never connected up the speedometer, since it’s behind the tach and you really can’t see it. It would be no problem to connect it up though. However, I truely think that it has no more than 10,000 miles on the restoration, if that. During the time I owned the car I have had 5 other classic cars and took turns driving them all. It leaks a bit of oil though, probably needs bolts on pan tightened. +new exhaust pipes, headers and Flowmaster mufflers(two chamber) when restored +351 Windsor with Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake maniford and cam 400hp, 412 ft lb torque +Holly 750 carb +MSD ignition system (box, distribtor and coil) rev limiter set a 5 grand (I’m old, I didn’t abuse the car) +new last year....radiator & overflow tank +Toploader 4 speed, with Hurst linkage and shifter, shifts smoothly On Mar-31-12 at 11:47:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 3-31-12....I just ordered new door panels, as the old ones were a bit tired, and a new glove box inner compartment today. Should be in before the auction is over.
