1976 FJ40 Land Cruiser + Chevy 350 Engine upgrade. This is a stunning land cruiser with absolutely ZERO rust. The body, hard top, body panels, rear quarter panels, and floor boards are in solid condition. No welding or bondo cover up. This is as close to a perfect body as you'll find anywhere. As you can see from the pictures I've gone to great lengths to restore this FJ40. People that look at it are amazed and I constantly get asked about it. Drive Train:There's too many parts to list but as you can see from the pictures I've replaced almost anything that needed replacing. The key points are the body and the engine. It has a Chevy 350 upgrade. The engine was in the vehicle when I bought it and I was told it was professionally done by a guy that worked at a Toyota dealership. Based on the sound and power of the engine I believe the story. It runs excellent. I had an inspection by Mike Barrett of Barrett's Automotive in Salt Lake City (801-467-6571). All compression was tested with flying colors. I had the carb cleaned and put new plugs and wires in as well. The FJ has the stock 4-speed transmission with stock t-case. I just put a new speedo cable on the t-case. Body:This FJ was completely disassembled and sent to the sand blaster. Piece by piece I etched and sealed every piece. Then I had the FJ professionally painted in Toyota SkyBlue paint code 854 by Burbstrom Paint in Salt Lake City (801-255-3487). All disassembled pieces were painted inside and out and then I reassembled the FJ. Interior:The front seats were professional upholstered by Robbins Upholstery in Murray, UT (801-654-2060). The jump seats have brand new seat covers from SOR. The headliner is new from SOR. New dash cap SOR. Front and rear heaters working perfectly. Both front door windows work perfectly. The original jack and tire kit under the drivers front seat are complete - which is very rare. As are the jack rods behind the passenger jump seat. Rims/Tires:I found some old rims that I fell in love with. I had them sand blasted and then powder coated to match the bezel and fiberglass top that are factory white. The tires are BFG AT's with roughly 75% tread. New Rancho 5000 shocks - front & rear. Other:New OEM weatherstripping on all doors. License plate in working order including lights. This '76 FJ has factor disc brakes and 4-speed tranny. OEM rear turn signals. All lighting and gauges are working. Aftermarket SOR front mirrors. CoolCruisers bumperettes. Nearly all of the bolts in this FJ have been replaced with stainless steel bolts. Winch:This FJ40 has a winch but I can't get it to expand or retract. Although, it DOES get power to it and tries to engage. I'm not a winch professional but I'm sure someone familiar with them can figure out why this is happening. Conditions to buy:I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction (or on Monday if the auction ends on a weekend). Once I confirm the deposit I will FedEX overnight the title to you so you know it's a real vehicle and a real deal. After you receive the title, you have one week to pay the balance due. I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. I don't accept paypal because they only protect the buyer, not the seller. I require a cashiers check, wire transfer, or cash. I will help to arrange shipping or hold the vehicle two weeks if you are going to pick the vehicle up yourself. If you can't agree to the above terms, don't bid. It's that simple.
