Purchased in 2004, drove it back from Louisiana, no problems. But, bought it to restore, so stripped it to rolling shell, changed color from original white to 693 stone grey metallic, an '89 color, only rust repair was under the battery. All new window, door, body seals, except rear window, new windshield. Cork interior door panels and rear seats original, front seats and rear panel recovered in cork German vinyl. Dash, door tops, rear window trim and door jams recovered in black leather. Re-carpeted with cork sliverknit, and new trunk carpet (white lines in picture are sunlight). Targa top restored with new burlap, new German vinyl, new padded headliner, new side seals. Gauges work, speedo shows 46598 but was replaced before previous owner, so true mileage is unknown, new JVC aftermarket radio and speakers. Only body ding is upper rh quarter where engine cover corner hit when installing, shown in picture. Engine was freshened up with new exhaust valves, springs, rings, cam chains, tensioner updates, etc. Also plug wires, plugs, cap, resurfaced flywheel with new Sachs clutch assy, short shift kit, new engine to thermostat oil lines, new engine compartment pad, new engine and transmission mounts, new engine and trunk lid shocks, new battery. Original exhaust is solid. Runs great, stops fine, shifts good. Refinished 6" and 7" Fuchs with decent Toyo tires, hand-painted centers. Includes tool kit, spare, new owners manual, radio instructions. Cabrio project now demands my time, money and space.
