Bought the car from its original owner in February 2009. Car has clear Virginia title, current inspection. Car also comes with the original owner’s manual and original sales contract. Car has 91,958 original miles. Drove the car for the past couple years. Not as a Daily Driver, but a cruise-around car. I am selling the car, because I recently completed the build on my dream Cruiser ROD… a 68 Mustang Coupe which I am driving now and also showing. MODS: Mustang was originally a 200, 6 cylinder, Automatic, but modified the build somewhat to give the car a sportier look and sound. Replaced the stock steering wheel with a Grant rubber grip chrome wheel. Replaced the Automatic transmission with a Ford, 4-speed Top loader Manual Transmission with Hurst shifter. Engine still a 200, 6 cylinder, but removed exhaust manifold and bolted a Chrome Header to a new single exhaust line. Replaced the stock radiator with a 2 Row Aluminum radiator. Replaced the stock wheels and tires with 4 – Cragar, Quick Trick I, Steel, Chrome, 14 in. x 6 in., 4 x 4.5 in. Bolt Circle, 3.5 in. Backspace Lugs, Center Washer Wheels with 4 - BF RA TA RWL, P215/60R14 tires. Total cost for the MODS ~ $2,100.00 RESTO: Below is a near complete list of all the STOCK parts that were replaced as part of the restoration of the Mustang. Missing from the list are the installation hardware, etc…. Total cost of the RESTO ~ $3,200. As with any antique car, it has its good points, and areas for improvement, depending on what you want to use the car for. Good Points Clear Title. Original Owner Manual, Original Sale Invoice, Car has current inspection. Since my REST/MOD, car has only about 5K miles. The tires have only about 2K miles on them. The car, while not a show car, receives a lot of attention on the road. Mechanically solid. Frame rails, torque boxes good. Floorboards replaced. Glass good. Paint not to show quality, but professionally sprayed. Chrome is in good condition. Seats in very good condition. Passenger seat, left side has small tear that was repaired. Overall interior in very good condition. Shop Manual included. Improvement Areas No spare tire. Rust bubbles, on right quarter panel near wheel well opening (See photos). Portions of the body show unevenness—not rusted through or damaged. Not enough care given when sanding before painting? Motor is getting tired. Car runs and drivable, but motor could use either a tune-up, rebuild or replaced. If I kept the car I was going to replace the 200, 6 cylinder with either a 289 or 302 V8 which would mate perfectly with the 4 speed Top Loader Sale Conditions No sale to outside U.S. The car is for sale locally.
