This electric Miata has been a very fun vehicle to own. The car was already converted to electric drive when it purchased a few years ago. [Note: the 1.8L 4 cal engine referenced in the listing was removed during the conversion and is not part of this auction.] Most of the vehicle's life was spend in Northern Florida and it has not been driven during NJ winters. It is ready to go, save time on a full conversion and grab this car and go. It has been 3+ years since this car was converted so the current batteries need replacing. The current driving range is under 5 miles. With its original lead acid batteries it had a range of 25-30 miles. It is ready for a new owner to put in new batteries and drop the top this summer. If 25-30 miles is sufficient, replace them with more lead acid batteries, but if you want the ultimate experience upgrade to LiFePO4 cells and get over 90+ miles! In as little as a day after the car arrives you could have new batteries installed and be driving (if 25-30 miles is OK). I am selling my EV because I need a bigger vehicle for the family.
