1966 Mustang ConvertibleC-Code 289 with 3-Speed Manual This 1966 Mustang Convertible has been off the roads since 1977. This is a factory 289 "C-Code" car, with a three-speed manual transmission. The 44K miles are correct, as we have a service record from 1977 that shows the mileage and previous owner states that the car has not been driven since then. Excellent restoration candidate. I charged the battery and hooked it up, and the engine cranks. Haven't tried much else in the way of starting the car. Engine bay is very much complete. Interior has some tears but is also very complete, as is the dashboard. All glass is intact. Convertible top goes up and down and is in surprisingly good condition for its age. The car has the typical Mustang rust, so it'll need floors and rockers. Plenty of reproduction parts are available for these first generation Mustangs, so there are several sources for sheet metal.
