Vehicle Detail
Rated at 29 mpg city, 27 mpg highway. My personal highway miles have generally been better (and I drive fast), city not as good (am heavy footed). Has top of the line EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH FORD (close to bumper to bumper) with $200 deductible per incident, good until 10/23/2014 or 100,000 miles. So the buyer has mostly worry free driving for some time to come. There is a $75 fee for the transfer of the warranty (on top of purchase price). Mostly freeway miles (driven across the country 3 times). Very good condition, well maintained. Of course, not blemish free, but nothing that is not normal for the vintage in my view. I bought the car with 15,000 miles. Ford calls for service every 10,000 miles, but I had it serviced every 5,000 miles and have most of the receipts. Cloth interior. 110v outlet, USB port and substantial data storage, Iphone port. Power driver's seat. Ford Synch and bluetooth. CD/MP3 player. New front brakes and rotars at 42,000 miles. New tires about 3,000 miles ago. The seats could use a shampoo, see pic. There are some perspiration marks on the driver's seat. The last time I had the seats shampooed (cost $100), they cleaned right up. I would have them shampooed myself, but due to the cold weather they may not dry that fast, creating a mildew risk. No accidents, but the front bumper got banged somehow, breaking some of the securing clips. The bumper itself was undamaged, but I had it realigned and reattached at a cost of $75. The only reason I am selling it is that I bought something more off-road capable. Otherwise I would definitely keep it. I have been very happy with it. Carmax has offered my $15,000 for the Escape. I have 100% positive feedback (which includes one car sale) with one exception. I bought some software that I ended up not needing and so resold it on Ebay. The buyer said it did not work (I had not tried it out, an error on my part), so I said send it back and if you are right, I will refund your money plus shipping. For some reason that was not good enough and the buyer asked Ebay to arbitrate the matter. I was a little skeptical. He had paid a premium price, and I was wondering if he had buyer remorse, particularly in light of the fact that he would not just send it back to me. Ebay ruled for him. I got the software back. Indeed it did not work. I sent the buyer an email offering to pay his shipping costs, but I never heard back. On Mar-03-12 at 13:09:49 PST, seller added the following information:
