Beautiful, well-maintained 2008 Sprinter 2500 Wagon. New MSRP was over $50,000. Selling to make room for 2012 Sprinter which will arrive soon. Options: - 16" alloy wheels - daytime running lights- cd/fm radio- cruise control- front and side airbags for driver and passenger- heated/power mirrors- rear a/c- rear heater- insulation- 74 mph max speed- two extra keys- rear step bumper- seat base power outlet (cigarette lighter style)- and some other stuff We had four Q-Straint wheelchair tiedown pucks installed on the rear floor, as well as a shoulder belt for wheelchair occupant. We're keeping the tiedown belts (not shown - they attach to the pucks) and the ramp (not shown) for use in one of our newer vehicles. This setup is good for infrequent carriage of a handicapped passenger. This Sprinter was purchased new in 2008 from Roanoke Dodge in Roanoke, IL. We are the first owner. It has spent its life on I-57 going back and forth between Champaign, IL and O'Hare Airport. Therefore, most miles are highway miles, and it shows. Vehicle has received preventive maintenance every 5,000ish miles, including oil changes with Mobil 1 synthetic. Engine runs strong and has no known issues. We recently sold a 2006 Sprinter 2500 with 375,000 miles on it, and that was still running strong, too. Fuel economy is typically around 18 mpg for trips which are mostly highway miles running at about 70 mph. Transmission and driveshaft were replaced in September 2011. Driveshaft is OEM new, transmission is a rebuild from Silver Star Transmission in Edmonds, OK. I can't think of anything that is not working properly. The sliding door opens and closes easily. Climate control works great, Seats are all in fantastic shape, and there is a custom carpet on the floor (not glued down) which really cuts down on the noise. Body is in great shape. No accidents. There are a bunch of tiny nicks in the hood from pebbles or rock salt, and almost all have been touched up. There is a little blemish on the rear left corner where a chip resulted in a tiny spot of rust. We wire-brushed the spot (with a little dremel tool), etched with phosphoric acid, primed, and painted. There have been no problems since. You'd have to look hard to find the spot. It's about the size of a dime, at most. There is also a dent and touched-up spot near the driver side vent on the hood. A flying chunk of 2 x 4 hit the hood and left a bit of a dent. We promptly touched it up but decided it wasn't noticeable enough to warrant replacing the whole hood. Radio/CD works great. Decals can be removed with fingernails and a heat gun. After removal, adhesive cleanup with lacquer thinner should leave it looking like new. You'll receive the maintenance binder, which documents all work done on the vehicle. Deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. If deposit is not received in a timely manner, a non-paying bidder report will be filed. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end. If payment is not received within 7 days, deposit will be forfeited. Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of auction end. Please do not bid if you don't have cash on hand, if your sister in law may need an operation, or if you haven't checked to see if your lottery ticket is a winner or not. Title will be in hand with lien released when you arrive to pick up the vehicle.
