Vehicle Detail
1949 Oldsmobile Deluxe Coupe For Sale is arguably one of the finest modified 1949 or 1950 Oldsmobile Coupes in the USA. This vehicle was originally a 76 model (Big 6 engine). It has been updated with a blueprinted Oldsmobile 425 C.I. engine mated to a Phoenix Transmission 700R overdrive. This is professional frame-off restoration. You'll be thoroughly impressed with the over all condition. Everything about this amazing machine is perfect... or nearly so. This beautiful Oldsmobile needs nothing and will not disappoint even the most discriminant classic car enthusiast. It turns heads and gets the "THUMBS-UP" treatment everywhere it goes. This car is the "REAL DEAL" and will be sure to win many blue ribbons for the new owner. Every moving and connecting part is brand new including grade 8 hardware, bushings and suspension parts. It is outfitted with 1950 Oldsmobile trim and a One Piece windshield. All flat glass is new with a bronze tint. It has all new chrome and professionally polished stainless steel trim. It is dressed in Sherwin Williams 3- stage Cadillac Diamond White (pearl) paint. Photos don't do the pearl paint justice. It's beautiful. The interior sports mocha and white leather 6-way power seats from a Lincoln Mark VIII... and a tan tweed headliner as well as side panels. It has 3 point shoulder harnesses in front and lap belts in back. Diamond Back wide white wall tires are mounted on 15 x 9 (back) and 15 x 7 (front) Early Wheel Co. solid wheels which are powder coated red. This car has freshly chromed stock ‘49 hub caps which are adapted to the late model wheels as well as stainless steel 3-rib beauty rims to seriously enhance the footprint. Power rack and pinion steering, and 1" Quickor stabilizers both in the front and back seriously enhance the handling. Power GM front disc brakes and stock Oldsmobile drums in back make it stop like a new car. Three-way Vintage Air keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It has dynamic pioneer sound system with a 6-disc C-D changer and XM Satellite Radio which provides your favorite music everywhere you go. The custom cruise control lets you relax as you grip the Colorado Custom wheel on the GM tilt column (with '49 Oldsmobile clock delete for horn button). The 425 C.I. Oldsmobile engine was built by Rocket Science Engineering of Hailey, Idaho and the heads have been given breath by J. Weight Racing Engines of Davis, California. The impressive 425 C.I. Oldsmobile Rocket power plant is linked through the 700R transmission to a rebuilt stock 3.23:1 Oldsmobile rear end. It runs smooth and mellow but can get angry if you toggle the Quick Time servo-operated electric exhaust cutouts. I have invested a considerable amount of money in this awesome machine and I feel that it is worth every penny. I have no intention or unrealistic expectation to make a profit or even get the majority of my money back. I'm a reputable New Car Dealer located in New Hampshire. Collecting classic American muscle cars and street rods is purely a hobby for me. For the most part, I carefully search for perfect vehicles and purchase only the best with the intention of keeping the vehicles for the long term. Sadly, I have more collector cars than I have available storage space at this time... and several of these vehicles are now taking up valuable space in our new car showroom. I'm sellingtwo or three of of the vehicles from my collection and I'm certain that this 1949 Oldsmobile will be one of the cars I regret selling the most. If you plan to bid on this vehicle you must have a perfect reputation on E-Bay. I'm a straight shooter and I do not play games... I expect the same from those of you who plan to bid on this car. My reserve price is low considering the quality of this vehicle and the substantial amount of money which has been invested in this awesome machine. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time... however, I have every intention of selling this vehicle. Although I'm not very interested in a trade, I might consider something nice, interesting and very clean. PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! On Mar-08-12 at 17:14:59 PST, seller added the following information: I have received many e mails asking various questions about this incredible machine. A large number of e mails have asked me what I would be willing to sell this vehicle for... and my response is as follows:Thank you very much for your e mail and your interest in my 49 Oldsmobile Deluxe Coupe. I will tell you that I purchased this car for nearly $37,000.00 more than 2 years ago. Since that time, you can see from the Pictures and description that this classic is one of a kind .... And one mean machine. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to enjoy it... and I desperately need the space in my new car showroom for all the new Vehicles that General Motors are sending our way.The good news for you is that my reserve price is set very low... much lower that it's truly worth. I've set the reserve at only $30,000.00. If you end up as the winner in this auction for $30,100.00 or even 35,000.00, you hit the jack pot. Good luck and good bidding. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
