For Sale: 1981 Vw Vanagon/Westfalia Deluxe Camper I will not ship or transport vehicle. Will be winning bidders responsability to arrange for pickup or delivery. Sold as is where is. Ask questions before bidding. Vehicle must be paid for in full before it leaves property. 2.1 litre air cooled engine. 16 gal. fuel tank. 4 speed manuel transmission. 95% original. All curtins and seats real good condition, carpet is fair. New battery, 4 new tires(less than 500 miles). Runs good but needs complete tuneup. Complete camping hookups. Refrigarator with ice trays, runs off propane, 120vac, or 12vdc. Stove, sink with new faucet,15 gal. water tank plus city water hookup. Propane tank with new regulator. Every thing appears to be in good working order but I have not tested them. This vehicle was accquired for a debt and was stored in a metal building for 6 years prior to my accquring it. I have stored it for a year and is time to sell. Have documntation of servicing in 1983 in Anaheim, Ca. at 28930 mi., 1985 in Portland, Or. at 36740 mi.,1986 in Santa Ana, Ca. at 48671 mi., 1988 in Pittsburg, Pa., at 82723 mi., 1992 Johnstown, Pa., at 103937 mi., 1994 in Colorado Springs, Co., at 129155 mi., 2001 in Ruidoso Downs, Nm., at 151623 mi.. Last long trip to Pike Peak, Co. in Sept 2005. Some minor surface rust, no rust throu. Very few dents or scatches. Original owners manuals. Needs spare tire and rim plus lug wrench. Sway bar links need to be repalced. Tie rod dust cover needs replaced. Needs struts for rear door. On a scale of 1-10 I would say its a solid 9. May have missed something so please ask Questions. Dash lights dont work. Gas gauge doesnt work, bad sending unit in tank. Read issue in history of title check about odometer problem. This is what I know, speedometer works, odometer works, tripmeter does not work. I stand corrected, just drove it, odometer doesnt work, may not be accurate mileage.
