I have a very clean 1987 1/2 Audi Coupe GT special edition. It has the 2.3L inline 5cyl. with manual transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, digital dash, and color keyed body parts. All of these were standard for this special model. It has MOMO racing front seats and custom red alcantera door inserts and rear seat. It also has a fiberglass Sport Quattro replica hood. I have had the car for 10 years, drove it for the first couple as my daily driver and have been tinkering with it for the last few. Michigan hard times have caught up with me though and it needs to go, unfortunately. I have spent a bunch of $$$ the last few years trying to get it like it was new. Below is a list of what has been done to it. Work done in the last 3,000miles: TDL racing coil over suspension Koni adjustable shocks TDL racing 2.5" stainless steel exhaust w/ high flow cat and magnaflow muffler. TDL racing Delrin sway bar bushings All wheel bearings Front strut mounts Tie rod ends Control arm bushings Fuel pump and filter Timing belt, water pump and idlers Thermostat and gasket Lifters and cam seal Valve cover and upper intake gaskets Pads and rotors (front and rear) Front caliper (pass side) Half shaft (pass side) Trunk struts Plugs, wires, cap and rotor Custom SS upper radiator hase Bosch Injectors/holders/cups/O-rings Bosch O2 sensor Bosch idle stabilizer motor New tinted windshield New Falken tires and wheels were just repainted. Performance alignment by Auto Europe GOOD: Car starts every time even after sitting out in the MI cold for months at a time. Car is Very clean.....You will find NO RUST on the body of this car, top or bottom! Paint still is in decent shape and shiny....still looks good for original. Interior is in nice shape as well. Car drives great and even though it is coil over suspension, the ride is not harsh like you might expect. Digital dash still works. BAD/NEEDS WORK: A/C not working - Needs condensor and an a/c hose which I have new ones and will include with the car. Digital dash issues - Fuel gauge quit working (shows empty all the time) temp gauge will intermittently go hot. I was told that the issue was the sending unit on both gauges Dipstick broke in block.- It will stay in, just comes out with the dipstick when you check oil. Intermittent hot start issue - Just started happening, not sure of the cause, but if the car sits for a little bit it always restarts. All in all, its not far off from being 100%. I think you wont find a nicer condition one around that has all the good new parts that this one has had done to it. Relisting due to a undesireable community memberthat didnt follow thru.
