Original owner (all records, including original metal owners plate and maintenance/repairs through 2012 come with it). This car was bought in Oakland, California, and apart from one trip to Arizona/New Mexico has been in California its whole life. Everything original (paint, upholstery, headliner) except: replacement Blaupunkt radio, Rebuilt long block engine, new transmission, put in approximately 3,000 miles ago (Those repairs cost over $12,000 - all records come with car). The car has been well maintained and is super strong mechanically. All motors work (sunroof, windows,radio antenae, blinkers etc). My mother (warning she smoked - headliner has yellowing on it) drove this car until she died in 1995. My father then kept it (and put a lot of money into it) for occassional grandchildren to drive, until he died in 2011. He did not drive this car, he had his own car. It stayed in the garage most of the time. The odomoter stopped around 2000 at 96,217 miles. The car probably has about 3,000 additional miles on it - but lets say 10,000. It has been in the garage most of the time. The good news is it has low mileage on it - the bad news is it has been city driving Here is work that could/should to be done: 1) Vacum door locking system needs to be repaired - doesn't lock right now. 2) AC not working - Heat works really well. 3) Exterior antenae chrome piece broken off. The antenae functions fine, goes up and down - radio works well - but exterior piece missing. 4) Driver's seatbelt funky. It can be used but annoying to monkey with. 5) Front Passenger's window needs new window regulator. Goes up and down fine, but comes up short about 1/2 inch. (all other windows seal properly) 6. Back left passenger's door lock sticks. Occassionally have to open from the outside. 7. Insulation under hood needs to be replaced. Cosmetic work to be done: (see pictures) 1. New carpet needed in back. 2. "grill" in dashboard messed up - see pic 3. small dent in trunk where it says "280" - see pic 4. small (about 1/2 inch) place in drivers door where paint gone - see pic 5. Paint on hood (or maybe it is wax) cracking, oxidizing - rest of paint good. -see pic 6. chrome strip near front left headlight bent - see pic 7. back red carpeting on deck behind back seat faded - see pic 8. small tear (about 2") in headliner near back seat. 9. Rust in trunk under original mat. 10. Small dent in front grill - see pic. This is a good deal at $4,000.
