For sale today is a nice 1969 Mustang 428 Cobrajet. This is NOT a CLONE or WANNABEE. It is a TRUE Q Code Fastback, with original 1) buck tag, 2) door tag and 3) dataplate all in tact. Last registered in 2003. Fast forward to 2012... Several thousand dollars worth of nuts and bolts restore to the 428 Cobrajet engine is ready to go. No expense spared. Probably worth $5000-$10000 by itself. Professional machinist rebuild. All original or 428 Cobrajet parts were used in rebuild including crankshaft, rods, stronger lift cam, Mallory distributor. 4 barrel Holley carburetor. Balanced and blueprinted. Hook it up and it should rock Interior is all intact. Car only has 77680 actual miles (reflected on the old title). All glass in tact All original seats/interior including flip down All wood grain in tact All original gauges and clusters All original floor panels, frame rails torque boxes and core... Car can be turned into a $50,000-$75,000 monster. Most everything on car is still original. (Have some older pictures of her if you want to see).. Exterior is OK. Prior owner smoothed out OLD dents with filler here and there and she could use some body smoothing in spots. Interior isnt too bad overall. Also a few liberties were taken with the (non 1969 Mach 1) body emblems. frame of this car is still original and solid from side to side and front to back. The original C6 automatic was pulled in order to do a changeover to a toploader 4-speed but never done...Unfortunately it got misplaced. The drivetrain will remain open for now, in case the new buyer wants to install a toploader.
