Vehicle Detail

I am listing this for My StepSon. He enjoys Old Vehicles, and bought this truck with plans to put a "Hodges" Ramp Bed (whatever that is) on it to transport his Old cars & trucks to and from the races, shows and cruises. He races a 1964 Mercury, & not long after He purchased this truck got the opportunity t buy a 1964 Ford Firetruck Cab & Chassis. Suffice it to say that He chose to do THAT truck (THE 1964) instead of this one. I will tell You what He has told me........It is a 1953 Ford (Aniversery Edition)"BIG JOB"? LONG wheelbase Ex-Firetruck Cab and Chassis. ((the measurement from the back of the cab to the rear axle center line is 8 feet, 10 inches)) The man My StepSon got it from had Historical plates on it & took it on an Ocassional Cruise in the summer. He had the hood come up on it the last time he drove it, (the reason for the green hood). It still needs hinges. The tires show dry rot (again whatever that is) and will need replaced. the low MILAGE (original) is 15,600 & something. It is a V-8 engine (Y block -whatever that is), with a Manual 5 speed transmission and a single speed rearend. It runs and drives, but has not been started or driven for nearly a year. He said the last time it was run, he put "Stabil" in the gas tank, let it run 15 minutes & shut it off. He says the sheetmetal is in VERY GOOD condition. Very little surface rust, and NO ROT. The Cab is VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT, and is equipped with dual spotlights. It has a Clear Ohio title in His name. The interior is somewhat dirty, but would clean up to VERY presentable. Seat is in GOOD condition, but He says it will need a headliner, and the rubber floor mat could use replacing. As shown in the pictures, the rockers , door bottoms, cab corners etc. are all in VERY Good condition. He said there are a few holes in the roof of the cab from mounting lights on it. In HIS words, if someone bought it & played with it for a few hours, they could probably (if they had Big One's) get it running, air up the tires & within reason drive it home. He said the tires would be the biggest concern in His opinion. The truck is located app. 15 minutes North of Youngstown, Ohio. He also said to state that it fit on His 18 foot car trailer (just barely) if that information is of any help. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING. Addition to this listing:>> Further information on the truck V.I.N. # F75J3H43802 - GVW 19500-WV175-Trans 591R - 7.20 axel ...My stepson was told when he bought this truck that it was a BIG JOB .He bought it for the truck itself and was going to modify the drive-train.He was told when he bought it It was a "BIG JOB "...Someone who looked at the truck said he thought Big Job trucks had air brakes . This truck has Hydraulic Brakes.. Please be sure before you bid as we are trying not to miss lead anybody ..ATT: it is a 5 speed Transmission .
