The vehicle was obtained in a seizure of assets for a criminal proceeding and was turned over to the city for police department use. The vehicle was used primarily as a vehicle for the chief of police, and an undercover surveillance unit for the detective bureau. The vehicle has been maintained with a local Lexus dealership, drives great, and is in very good condition. Our agency is in the process of streamlining our operations and we have determined that this vehicle would serve better purpose for a private owner than for the departmental needs. Our agency maintains records for the vehicle, and the maintenance records can be verified through the Lexus dealership as well. Our agency has used the vehicle since 2008 and has not had any problems with the vehicle. The vehicle has never been in an accident since our agency has used/owned it. The previous owners were the second owners to the best of our knowledge, but a Carfax report would be able to validate such information. No emergency equipment has been installed on this unit, and it has not been modified as a police vehicle. The condition of the vehicle is in very good condition with normal expected wear and tear from being in service as a special use police vehicle. The body is in very good condition with only a few minor scuffs on the clear coat. The areas to note that have damage or excessive wear would be a few small minor paint blemishes and scuffs along the left side of the body near the rear left door. It appears to be surface scuffs, and a buffing out of the paint may remove the aforementioned blemishes. The interior is in very nice condition with all functions working properly to the best of our knowledge. Mechanically, the brakes, transmission, and engine are in very good working order. The tires are virtually brand new all around. The bidder should inspect the vehicle prior to bidding, which can be done by appointment only. We make no guarantees with regard to the mechanical condition of the vehicle. The buyer should use due diligence when inspecting or determining the condition. The vehicle is operable for the road, is in drivable condition, and is in service for use as of current. Terms and Conditions: The winning bidder will be responsible for the payment in full within 3 business days of the end of the auction. Payment will be required to be by CERTIFIED FUNDS ONLY (CERTIFIED CHECK/CASHIERS CHECK-WITH VERIFICATION OF FUNDS ONLY). Our agency/city cannot process PayPal, direct electronic wires, and so forth. The winning bidder will be responsible for pick up of the vehicle. Our agency will not arrange for a shipping service. We also reserve the right to hold the vehicle until the funds have cleared even when the funds are certified (Banks may still place a 10-day hold even on certified funds).
