About the car:Up for auction is my black 1998 Contour SVT with midnight blue interior. Everything on this thing is stock except the following: After market air-intake/headlights, Ruff Racing 18" rims (also comes with original 16" aluminum SVT rims as pictured if you want them), the resonator has been removed to give the exhaust a deeper growl. The whole car was repainted in 2010. All original emblems were shaved as well as the antenna; I have since added "SVT" emblems to the car (not pictured). The antenna is still in the trunk and works. Also the tail lights have been tinted slightly (not pictured). Stereo:The head unit itself is nothing special (a Dual CD player with AUX input). In all the doors I have Kicker 6x7's which sound great with the factory amp. As is, this car does run, drive, and shift just fine. But somewhere down the road it will need some work. The inner and outer tie rods need to be replaced (these were purchased new and will be included). There is a check engine light because it needs an o2 sensor replaced (this is also included). Other than that the only thing I know of is a few bushings need to be replaced because the car is a little noisy on bumps. Also the sunroof does work but the motor is weak, so opening upward may require some assistance. It slides back and closes with no problems. I would suggest replacing this however. Also the clips for the sunroof motor cover are broken so it hangs down maybe half an inch on the front side. Not really a problem, but just doesn't look good to me. I would say the most important of the issues is the o2 sensor. Also the interior is in great condition with no tears, cracks in the leather. And no chipped, cracked windows. Car has power windows, locks, driver seat, cruise, etc. All work fine. It appears the AC does not have a charge. I have not bothered getting this checked out yet as it is winter. The heat works great by the way. The pictures are fairly accurate except for a couple features one being a small scuff on the drivers side of the front bumper (might be able to buff it out), as well as the SVT emblems I put on. I will update these pics asap. There is also a small dent in the front passenger fender you may be able to see in the pics. With that said ALL pics are of the actual car you will be bidding on. The car is currently in the shop. I am getting the inner and outer tie rods replaced, the new o2 sensor installed, and the brake lines replaced. Also I DO hold a clear title in hand, with NO liens.
