This is a real, H-Code 340 Swinger. The car was restified in 2001, and driven very little in the past 10 years, due to other projects. The body is 95 percent original sheet metal. A small patch was installed in the driver's side rear quarter. Floors/frame had ZERO rust. Factory undercoating was left undisturbed. The bottom of the spare tire well was patched, but the remainder of the trunk area was PERFECT. Factory workers "crayon" marks and other "graffiti" were not disturbed. Sadly, the original powertrain is long gone, but a 1969 340 block with X-heads, bored .030 over was installed. Keith Black pistons, Mopar Purple shaft cam,(484), Edelbrock Performer RPM, Demon carb, (running rich, needs tweeking)ceramic coated Headman headers, etc.....Again, this is NOT a "numbers matching" powertrain, but the car is no slouch. Rebuilt 727 tranny, original 8 3/4 rear with 3.73 gears. Car cruises nicely, but would probably benefit from a top-to-bottom freshening-up before this summer's cruising season. Inside, the carpet, seat covers, and headliner were replaced. Door panels are nice, and original. Console, dash are nice. Car was originally equipped with A/C, but it's long gone. (Car had many options, and in addition to build codes seen on data plate, G23 and V21 were blacked out when I covered up the serial number.) This is a SOLID Mopar A-body car, looking for a new home.
