Up for sale from the City of Wilton, Iowa is a 2005 Chevrolet Impala police vehicle. This car was purchased new by the city and put into circulation in 2005. It has been a patrol car for the city. The car is in good condition except for the transmission slips when you accellerate rapidly. The transmission is working under normal driving conditions, but sometimes does not want to shift out of first gear until it is warmed up. The transmission at sometime will have to be worked on or replaced by buyer. All police equipment has been removed from the vehicle. Antenna holes have been plugged and sealed (see photos). New tires as pictured. Interior in good but used condition. A hole was cut (approx, 6x6 inches) in the headliner for video equipment and is not repaired. One small chip in the paint on drivers side rear door, but it is not through the primer. No major dents or dings just normal body blemishes for a 6 year old car. This vehicle has been a solid car for the PD. It was taken out of rotation due to the transmission. A new rebuilt transmission can be purchased for $300 here on Ebay or less from salvage yard. Motor may use some oil due to mileage. This car is sold AS-IS and no warantees or guarantees are given or implied. Purchaser takes full responsiblity upon purchase. Title and any paperwork will be given upon buyer taking possession of the vehicle after funds are either cleared or verified. Sales receipt will be given with title.
