Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE What he have here is a 1967 F-100, short wheel base truck. Let’s get straight to the business end of the vehicle. 1984 model 351W engine, C-4 transmission, B&M floor shifter which shifts great. Trick Flow 190CC aluminum cylinder heads, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, Thumpr cam (comp cam part # 35-600-4 ), Edelbrock four barrel carb manual choke, shorty headers, Dynamax exhaust, HEI one wire distributor, Edelbrock reverse rotation water pump, power steering, serpentine belt setup, with a high output alternator, dual core electric fan (4300 CFM!) with a speed controller. Let me explain exactly what this controller does. The thermostat is set to kick the fan on at approximately 180 degrees. In order to decrease the initial power surge when this fan comes on, the speed controller starts the fan off slow and gradually lets it come up to full speed. Pretty simple but very effective.Inside the truck is a touchscreen single din DVD/CD player with Bluetooth capabilities and all the bells and whistles. The radio was not a hack job, it was installed right and fits perfectly. (see pictures) Also there is a custom gauge panel that was created by using the base of the original gauge panel. The guts were all cut out and then the new faceplate was cut to fit inside the existing panel and fit flush, then all the gauges and indicator lights were installed. This piece alone brings the interior to an entire new level. The blinkers and lights were also incorporated into this panel. And by the way, both door locks work, headlights work, blinkers work, dome light works and the heater/defroster also works. I have also installed a yellow bulb inside the panel. This bulb lights up once the electric fan kicks on so you will know that it is working! Also inside is an IDIDIT stainless steel steering column along with a Grant steering wheel. New dash cover and a bench seat from a 1989 F-150 if I remember right. Outside the truck has 16”mag wheels, and a rhino bed liner. Also the fuel tank was moved to the bed of the truck. It is mounted with brackets against the bed of the truck. This was done to get the tank out of the truck and to make a little space behind the seat. Now on to some of the problem areas. The truck does have some rust on the floorboard and a spot right at the door hinges on the driver side. There is also a small crack where the tailgate meets the body of the truck under the passenger side brake light. I would rate the overall paint job as a 8 out of 10 up close. Along the bed there is a line where the paint has paint cracks, but once again this is only seen if you are right up on the truck. From about 10 feet away it is not noticeable. At 10 feet away I would say that the paint job is 8 out of 10. Mechanically the truck is pretty sound. The parking brake does not work; I think that it needs the cable replaced. This thing turns heads EVERYWHERE I go. It sounds good, idles well and runs great around town. I have driven it round trip for about 275 miles without any problems. Seriously the truck is a really nice street rod that can also double as a reliable daily driver. Also guys I have the complete disc brake conversion for this truck sitting in my shop. The kit comes with everything except for the brake lines. If the auction brings enough then I will throw this in as well. ($700 dollars’ worth of parts) Please keep in mind that this truck is 45 years old so it does ride like a 45 year old truck, not like a new model F-150. There are other imperfections with the truck, but nothing that can't be corrected. As any older vehicle it has its squeaks and rattles. Truck has 65,000 original miles. I have honestly tried to list every problem with the truck but it is possible that I have left something out. PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING! Ask any question you like and I will respond as fast as humanly possible. Clear title in hand and ready to transfer to the buyer. The truck is sold as is, where is. Bidding legally binds you to the truck, so please do not bid if you are not willing to complete the deal. Once the auction is over and you are the highest bidder, you are officially the new owner. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. I will help as best as I can with any reasonable request. Good luck and bid to win! On Feb-13-12 at 13:47:11 PST, seller added the following information: Hey lookers and bidders. I am getting quite a bit of questions on the truck and it's reliability as a daily driver. To be a bit clearer, I personally drive this truck back and forth to work every day which is right at 40 miles. It brings me there and back consistently without any issues. But keep in mind that I don't drive it at 80 miles and hour in the fast lane to get home. I hit the interstate doing the speed limit, and then I simply cruise on home. On Feb-14-12 at 16:45:29 PST, seller added the following information: I did put SWB in the title to identify the truck as having a"short wheel base" but I guess that's not such a common abbreviation. Anyways, the truck is a short wheel base model. On Feb-18-12 at 05:57:43 PST, seller added the following information: As the auction is getting closer to closing, I am getting questions about the rust on the truck. I have included a picture of the spot at the door jamb in the listing. I had my wife snap the photos and explained to her what I wanted potential buyers to see. As far as the rust on the floorboards, I did try to get her to get on the ground and snap some shots, but as you can see from the lack of a picture, she did not fufill this request. Imagine that. Anyhow as I stated before there is some rust there. If you can picture the underside of the truck, it is directly under the seating area and where the transmission support meets the body of the truck on either side. I was eventually going to have it addressed but never got around to it. It didn't affect the function of the vehicle so I didn't make it a priority. If you plan on turning this into a show truck then you would need to do something with it but as a daily driver/cruiser I never bothered with it. On Feb-18-12 at 06:12:58 PST, seller added the following information: One more clarification. The rust area besides the floorboard that I am referring to is not at the transmission mount area itself, but on the corners of the transmission mounting beam only where it meets the frame of the truck just under the door area.
