Car is in generally good condition but the transmission is broken -- no reverse gear. I like the car a lot but don't need a large sedan any more and don't have time to work on it, and I have a loan I need to pay off. --The timing belt was replaced last year, along with the spark plugs and O2 sensors (the engine runs great). --I also replaced all four rotors and pads (using Hawk HPS pads) and both front axles. The car drives and stops great. --The tires were replaced last summer. --All of the electrics work fine, except the left rear door doesn't open from the inside (permanent kid lock or something) and the sunroof is slow. --The left outside mirror housing is a different color. --The right rear fender was scraped and "repaired" with black touch-up paint, as shown in the photos. --The car was sold new with a small harddisk for music but I replaced that with an OEM six-CD changer that integrates perfectly with the stereo. The antique factor nav and telephone are removed. The car drives well in forward, but not at all in reverse. I have a lot of spare parts, including a transmission from a '98 A8, that I can include with this car for the right price. I have many more pictures and can share them. The car is also listed locally so I may cancel this auction. I can drive the car to the buyer within a hundred miles of northern Virginia. I was burned recently so I will need confirmed payment before I release the car -- cash or cashier's check.
