Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE The boat is in poor shape. As the pictures show, the floorboards are rotted and the trim pieces have come loose. I believe the stringers are ok, but can’t guarantee it. As near as I can tell, everything is there and I believe this boat could be repaired. For someone who likes these old Chrysler boats the no reserve auction could be for you. The metal frame for the canopy is there but the canopy is gone. It has the original Chrysler trailer as well. I was planning to fix this boat, and started with the motor. It has a mid 70’s Chrysler model 1057HF motor on it (Serial number 7049). I had it bored 0.040” and put new pistons and new gaskets, etc. in it. When I started it up it ran beautifully, sounded sweet, and was responsive, but I didn’t have the water line hooked up properly and it promptly overheated. When I took it back apart, rehoned the cylinders, replaced one piston, and put it back together it wouldn’t run properly. Then I found part of one of the crankshaft rings on the shop floor (I don’t know how it got broken and I missed it). By the time all this happened, I had moved on to other projects, including another boat, and I’ve never gotten back to. I believe that if someone took it apart again and put new crankshaft rings in it, it would run. The engine is a 105HP and the boat hull says maximum 90HP, so that could be a problem running this engine on this boat. This is a pick up only item in central Ohio.
