1960 Edsel 2 Dr Ranger Sedan Thank you for visiting my auction. We are selling a 1960 Edsel 2 Dr Ranger Sedan. This car has been modified by the owner. The upgrades to this vehicle were not made for speed, but comfort on long road cruises. The car is powered by a Ford 429 V-8 Engine with a Ford C-6 automatic transmission. The Power Steering has been upgraded using a 605 steering box. A Flaming River tilt steering column and Le Corra steering wheel has been added for comfort. It has a Ford 9 inch differential. A (COLD) under the dash Air conditioning system has been added and the windows have been tinted for a more comfortable air conditioned ride in the hot summer sun. Cruise control has been added as well. The front end has been upgraded to include Power disk brakes. There are (4) new custom chrome wheels with (4) new tires. The engine cooling has been upgraded using a 70 mercury (4 Core) cross flow radiator with (2) additional electric fans (manually controlled) if needed. (It does not overheat even on the hottest Arizona days) Duel side mirrors, seat belts and back-up lights have been maintained for safety. All chrome and stainless has recently been done. The car has new custom paint; new interior and the trunk have been finished as well. The car looks and drives like new. All of the components and options are in working order. There is absolutely no rust anywhere in this car. These modifications have been done within the last (2) years. This car is garage kept and maintained by the owner’s full time mechanic. THIS IS TRULY ONE OF THE NICEST EXAMPLES OF THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER MODEL. Edsel History Introduced on October 15, 1959, the 1960 Edsel Ranger was now the only car Edsel offered. On November 19, 1959, Ford discontinued the Edsel marque and the final car rolled off the assembly line by the end of the month, so the 1960 model never reached its own model year. With such a limited production run-time, the 1960 model included some of the rarest Edsel models of any of the three model years. This model – 2 Door Sedan had a production figure of (777) units. This car is a true survivor. Arrangements/Terms A 500.00 Deposit is required from the winning bidder through paypal within 24 hours after the close of auction. Full payment is required in 7 days, via a bank to bank wire transfer or a certified bank check, which will have to clear before the car & title is released, or cash.
