Must See! 50th Anniversary Edition! 1953 Ford V-8 F100 Short Bed Relisted due to a guy backing out after he committed to buy...Up for sale I have a 1953 50th Anniversary Edition Ford F-100. This truck was restored about 8 years ago according to the older gentleman I bought it from. It is a beautiful truck and always draws attention. It has been garaged since both the restore and when I purchased it. The truck runs and drives great; starts right up every time and doesn’t smoke. It has the three on the tree. I just put new spark plugs in and changed the oil. Also, the truck is straight and almost original and unmolested; here are some of the additions/enhancements: · Dual Carburetors (singles) · Disc Brakes · Wide tires/wheels · Louvered Tailgate There were many things upgraded like all new glass (doors and back window are factory tinted), windshield wipers, mirrors, new upholstery on seat, headliner, carpet, oak bed, etc. I am sure I am forgetting many of them. To give you as much information as I can, here are some things that need to be mentioned: · Rust: there is a very little rust at the bottom corner of the cab (the usual place for these trucks) and it’s just on the surface not all the way through. Other than that, it is very solid · Repair: It looks like the bottom of the front right fender was repainted. It isn’t too noticeable. Other than that, the metal is all original and solid…I haven’t found any bondo yet with my magnet. · Drivers door glass: there is a small crack at the bottom of the window but hardly noticeable · Oil: the truck drips a tad bit of oil…a few small spots but normal for this age and this one is from the oil pan plug so an easy fix. · Gauges: all the gauges work. The battery gauge is not hooked up. · All lights work: Headlights (bright/dim), running lights, brake lights and dash lights. · It has been upgraded to a 12-volt system and has a brand new battery · I have a couple of boxes of extra parts that I got with the truck and will include them as well..not sure what all is in them. · Has the original 50th Anniversary Medallion on the steering wheel *The odometer reads a little over 60,000 and the gentleman I bought it from said these are original miles except for some driven during the restore. Given the condition of the truck he may be right but I can't guarantee they are actual miles. I have tried to give you a good idea about the truck but strongly encourage you to do your due diligence and come take it for a test drive and inspect it yourself or have someone else do it. Given the age of the truck it is not perfect by any means but in great shape for its age. I also tried to take decent pictures and describe it the best I can. Obviously it is hard to mention everything so please feel free to contact me through eBay or call me at 816-258-1789.
