Vehicle Detail
2003 Mercedes Benz E55 Amg This car is the best of both worlds. It is a nice luxury car and is also quite the sports car in sheeps clothing. I am selling this car because frankly I don't drive it enough to justify owning it. I have owned it 3 years and only put a little over 7,000 miles on it...yes it has been a garage queen. The car had 36,500 miles on it when I purchased it and has a little under 44,000 miles on it now. The biggest selling point for this car compared to others on the market is the fact that it has a good waranty which is transferrable to a private party. The warranty is not transferrable if purchased by a dealer. There is 2 years and 52,000 miles of coverage remaining on the 5yr 60,000 mile policy I purchased. The warranty is Fidelity's Gold Plus which is almost a bumper to bumper warranty. Under the exclusions I do not see anything one would expect a warranty to cover. I have used the coverage 2 times at the dealership and had no issues what so ever. The warranty does have a $100 deductible. The car was recently serviced and inspected by RBM of Atlanta. The fuel pump and valve cover gaskets were replaced at the time. When I purchased the car I had RBM change all the fluids and perform all recalls and service requirements. The radio head unit was also replaced at his time as the LCD screen stopped working. The options I know of the car has are heated seats,I believe the seats are optional as well as they have many lumbar and side support controls,Harmon Kardon sound system with 6 disc CD changer, power sunroof, and regenrative heat(car will operate heat while not running as long as the engine is warm). There may be other options I am not aware of. The interior is in excellent condition and the paint retains it's full factory gloss. The continental tires have more than 80% tread remaining. As with any used car there are a few things that should be mentioned as the car is not show room new. There is a small door ding on the rear passenger side door,a small scrape on the middle edge of the hood next to the windshield apparrently caused buy the windshield wipers????,and a few minor rock chips in the paint. The windshield has a star that has recently started a crack even though I had it repaired. I have never been 1 to replace a windshield unless it obstucts my view. I don't know what the dealer charges but most glass shops seem to want $4-500 to replace the windshield. The right wheels do have some curb rash. The only other thing I can think of is 1 of the levers that opens the center console is broken. The dealer wants $100 for the pair but I figured I would find 1 elsewhere. This is a great car and truely a pleasure to drive. I am sure I will regret selling it the minute I do. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Ask me a question through ebay with your phone number and I will call or request my phone number and I will respond with my number.
