Vehicle Detail
Hi folks, Many of you watched the car when it was last on Ebay 4 weeks ago. ( over 2400 views and 53 watchers) It sold to ebayer "30fordcars" from Florida. He backed out without ever seeing the car, never even returned emails or calls and messages, it happens. So here it is again. I replaced the Miles on the listing to the correct miles on the engine currently to 61,400. The car itself has God knows how many miles, it's 62 years old for heavens sake! I purchased the car on ebay here for $6600 in December 2006, Since then I have added new rims, tires, Front disc brackes, Braided front brake lines,1987 Chevy Camaro SS 305 engine, TH350 tranny, 1973 Maverick V8 (2.79 gear ratio) rear end, Dakopta Digital Dash gauge cluster, new wiring the entire car, new hood, spare tire, gas tank, gas lines gas filter, brake lines, fuel lines, new emergency brake cables, u joints, bushings, car cover, etc... most of it has been re painted, full new exhaust, rear bumper, the list goes on and on..and have over 15K in receipts for work done and upgrades since then. It's a driver, springs squeak even though they ride awesome, All in all a very cool car.Lots of waves and hellos at every turn... Here is a partial Description. 1950 Ford 2 Door Sedan Custom I originally thought the engine was from an S10 but I just spoke with the previous engine owner (1/4/2012) and the engine is from a 1987 Chevy Camaro SS with vortec heads with 45,000 miles, it's a 305 V8.with mechanical Flex fan, new freeze plugs, Edelbrock 4 barrel Carb.Full tune up. The previous engine owner drove that engine for about 15K miles, in a 1950 Pontiac 2 door, he changed the engine to a Pontiac V8 then I got it, replaced the gaskets, front and rear seals, all freeze plugs to brass, a new water punp, and installed. I've driven the car with this engine set up about 1400 miles. The car was not subframed, and no steering components were altered, nor was the oil pan modified to work. Comes with a TH350 Trans, Lokar adapter column shifter kit so the OEM column shifter has been retained. 1973 Ford V8 Maverick 2.79 :1 ratio rear end. New shocks all around as of June 2007 Front springs are 87 Aerostar springs purchased new in 2008 and they ride very nice. Summit Aluminum Radiator with tempature cap. Seperate OEM Trans cooler ( OEM from a donor car not this Ford)Column mounted turn signal control with hazards. ( rear only) The original column shifter has been retained and works to control the transmission. there is no indicator, but what Hotrodder really needs that anyway? Steel OEM style rear skirts. The rims are Wheel Vintiques 15" FORD Bolt pattern 5 lug Front tires are Diamond Back Classic Wide White Walls, rear tires are used 15" tires. Working newly made sunvisors with chrome hardware Chrome wardrobe hooks in rear on both sides. Front seat slides forward and back as it should. Complete Ron Francis 38 circuit wiring panel with all new wires as of June 2007. Hi beams/Lo beams work fine. OEM back up lights are in and work. Ron Francis Neutral safety/back up switch installed and working. has a 1951 Dash, Hood and Decklid Dakota Digital Dash gauge cluster.3 Autogauge mechanical Oil, Water and Temp gauges. ( Lighted) The digital guage cluster is all nice but I also like a mechanical back up. Footwell lights work. Glove compartment has a new interior box and is in great shape ( new 2007) and glove compartment light works when you open it. Interior side pillar lights work, and can also be turned on while driving from the dash. has a 73 Maverick 2.79:1 Ratio from a V8 Maverick new drums, new cylinders, new hardware and lines. as of July 2011 Hagan frenched front headlights Frenched rear lights Shaved decklid, opens from the inside next to the rear bench seat. The interior is good for a driver, it could use being re covered. The rear bench is very nice as is the front with the exeption of a small 2" split on the outer edge of the drivers side of the front bench. On the outer side of the bench on the drivers side there are 3 dime size holes which have been there since I got the car. Not something that is seen when the door is closed but I thought everyone should know. Overall the car is a very cool looking car and drives great now with the SBC and the Auto Trans. It will spin the tires quite well! Headliner needs to be fixed. 4 windows roll up and down, all side vent windows open and close. Front lap retractable seatbelts installed New Heater control valve installed. Heater works License plate frame and light installed. Front Disc brakes and SS front lines OEM brake master rebuilt this year (2011) Comes with a new Car cover and 15" spare tire and rim, and a scissor jack and lug Cross wrench. Also has an OEM Radio antenna un intalled in the trunk. And the OEM radio in a box, ( bought used,un tested,) but included in case you'd like to have it updated to the FM inerds with the mp3. cable they do now a days... The car drives great, rolls down the highway with all the other cars at 70mph just fine. Your welcome to come down and drive it around for yourself. Must be licensed and insured. The car is currently Titled and insured in Florida. as it has been since end of December 2006. All repairs and parts have receipts, and those will go with the new owner as well. It's a Running, Driving car. Starts, Stops, turns and drives down any street, over train tracks, up and down the highway at highway speeds just fine. The sale is a Final sale. I'm only looking to sell the vehicle, I've been offered every Harley there is, a Buell, even an old Indian, but I'm not a motorcycle guy, no interest whatsoever in a bike.Unless you have a daily driver pre 1960 2 door plus cash. December 17th I shot the video below... it's a bit over 2 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STaMw_x54Yg&feature=g-upl&context=G2d44b60AUAAAAAAAIAA Thanks and good luck, Happy Bidding.
