Vehicle Detail

For auction is my Skyliner Retractable I’ve owned for 26 years. It has a 312ci v8 with Ford-o-matic. It also has an Edlebrock 4bbl carberuter, power disc brakes, padded dash, front period seat belts and power steering. I purchased it in restored condition in 1986 at the Scottsdale 80’s Barrett-Jackson Auction held at The Phoenix Municipal Stadium(the early years). It’s been a great car; used in numerous parades, tours and shows in the Phoenix, Arizona area. It’s all original except for front disk brakes and electric wipers. Recently, alternator, fuel pump and top weatherstripping were replaced. When purchased, the car had 50,600 original miles. It now has 60,961 original miles. It is a rust free Arizona car and always garaged. It's painted in Ford's flagship colors for 1957, Colonial White and Flame Red. On the road it draws a lot of attention amidst its black, white, silver and gray contemporaries. The top works fine. Engine starts quickly and transmission shifts properly. It has never let me down. The car has a 26 year old restoration and has been driven ,enjoyed and has won many trophies. The paint and trim are in good condition. It is a strong "20 foot" car. There is 5 inch crack in the plate glass windshield adjacent to the passenger wing window. It's been there for 26 years and covered with a club logo. We’ve enjoyed the car these many years and now it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. This car is very collectible and has a lot of potential. I place this vehicle in #4 condition per Hagerty’s Vehicle Valuation. ( Go to Hagerty.com , for free vehicle valuation.) The AC unit shown is a period 1959 Ford Polar Freeze under dash unit. It is not connected but for show. The AC condenser, hoses and York compressor are included. The original front wheels and drums are also included to the highest bidder. The interior is custom white Naugahyde vinyl and plush, red ,"Indian Weave" fabric and in good condition with no tears or open seams. Complete SN: D7RW180003...51A VE BF 22 E 32. This car was the 3rd vehicle off the San Jose production line. Extra Info: In 1994, while at a Scottsdale car show, I met Ben J. Smith, who worked on the design of the 1957 Ford Skyliner and later, after retirement, marketed a Ford Mustang Convertible Kit. As a friendly gesture, he gladly autographed the inside of the trunk lid. Where it remains today. Thank you and happy bidding. Winning bidder must pay $500 deposit via paypal in 72 hrs or in 5 days of close of bidding with bank check. Balance due within 2 weeks of close of bidding.
