Up for sale is my 1967 Mini Cooper S convertible. RIGHT HAND DRIVE!!!COOPER INFO:. The car has been modified so does have parts on it from different years and is NOT a stock 1967 by any means. There are two chassis numbers, I believe the blackened one is the original. The engine number is no longer there but I am told is from a later model mini (it has great compression and produces a lot of power), as are the 8.4" disc brakes. I have done a fair amount of research and asked a lot of enthusiast about this car and have learned a lot, mainly this is not a factory stock car., if that is what you are looking for, this is not the mini for you. The car has had a few restoration projects over the years but has recently received the following: Carb float rebuilt, new distributer cap/rotor, new plugs, new brake and fuel lines, New Floors, recent paint (good but not great, with one or two chips)), Vinyl top repaired (looks very good), engine tuned, new air cleaner assembly, New battery, New fan belt and fresh fluids all around, new cherry dash and door cards, and new leather under dash.I just installed a new fuel pump, K&N Filter, new pads in the front and had the carb tuned. It really runs fast and well.- less than 100 miles on all these parts and repairs. Parts List:1275cc engine- 9 bolt head, pressed steel rockers "red Hot" valve coverAlternator, mechanical fuel pumpSU H4 Carb (single)Upgraded to Dry suspension4 speed manuel, in good shapeLCB Dual exhaustAlloy rimsCooper discs Front, 8.4" These cars did not come as convertibles, but was converted to one a few years after purchase by a company called Richards in the UK, I am told. Few were imported to the US that were RIGHT HAND DRIVE., so is pretty rare. The body work, though almost 50 years old, still displays the superb craftsmanship of the Richards company. It has been deseamed and polished and has no bumpers. It looks like the boot lid is an MK3, not the MK1, as are the doors and rear lights. The body is good, with few blemishes with a few small rust spot that all have been treated, sanded and leveled but are still slightly noticeable. When I bought the car, I replaced the floors with a thicker gauge steel, installed a custom cross brace for rigidity and fully welded and seam sealed everything. The boot had a few rust spot but have been repaired with fiberglass. IF the car is left for a week, there will be a few drop of oil on the ground which is nothing to worry about but in the interest in divulging everything, it qualifies for a mention...AGAIN this is NOT a perfect car, it is a solid 44 year old one of a kind cooper that looks good and runs great. I tried to systematically replace or rebuild anything that could be a problem, so it should run well for some time. The engine has great compression and has a lot of power, the brakes stop well, the engine runs cool and the tranny shifts effortlessly. It is good as is, but could be truly great in the hands of the right person. Nearly everything works: the blinkers, lights both high and low, heater/fan etc.The two things that require some attention, are the wiper which most likely a fuse (I am including another wiper motor) and the passenger side window rolls up off track (easy fix) . I don't have time to repair and must sell it to repair my house, damaged by hurricane Irene. These are two small things that would take someone minutes to fix if they knew what to do. The winning bidder is responsible for any and all transportation or shipping costs- I will help the winner any way I can, just ask before bidding! The car is 44 years old and though it is in good running condition, no warranties nor returns are implied nor accepted. This is an as is sale. It is not a museum piece, but it runs well looks good and will last you a long time. I have described this car to the best of my knowledge utilizing research and expert advice. Please look at the pictures and please ask any questions you may have. If I don't know the answer I will find out. If I have misrepresented something, it is unintentional and will be assessed, checked then posted as soon as any new information comes into light. I count on the wealth of knowledge ebayers bring, there is always someone on ebay that is more of an expert than me!! I require a $500 down payment 2 days after the auction ends and the balance in 7 days. CONTACT BEFORE YOU BID IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL REQUESTS- PAYMENT, SHIPPING OR DESCRIPTION On Jan-23-12 at 15:06:11 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE- The car is in Accord,NY which is located in midstate where it just snowed. I would recommend putting it on a trailer in order to transport. ALSO- To the high bidder I will include a roll bar (not installed), original door cards, extra back seat and misc parts.
