Selling a 1964 Ford Thunderbird 2-Door Landau. It has been project car for my cousin and I for about two years now. We have invested quite a bit of money and time into restoring this beauty but I have to sell it due to the fact that I lost my job recently. We had the transmission rebuilt less then a year ago and I still have the receipts for that, the engine has also been rebuilt. It has a new carburetor, new alternator, belts, plugs, wires and distributor was replaced as well. We did quite a bit of work and the car always starts right up and drives smoothly. It's got an 8 cylinder 390 CID engine, power steering and power windows. The body is in very decent condition but the interior needs work. We planed on doing paint and interior as soon as we completed all the mechanical restoration which we did not finish. The next thing on our list was to swap out the gas tank because the current tank has a leak so we rerouted the gas line under the hood to take gas from a gas in the meantime. The red gas can is visible in the pictures. This is not solution for a daily driver so the winner of the auction will need to do some work before you can drive this car long distances. We have the original Thunderbird hubcaps, windshield wipers and other parts which we took off of the car and keep in the trunk because the car is parked on the street where it's vulnerable for some of those pieces to be stolen. Overall, it's decent shape and can be driven around. It doesn't overheat and the California plates expire May of 2012. I have a clean title in hand and hope it goes to a good owner. I'm willing to show the car personally and answer any questions so bidders are more familiar with what they are buying.
