I bought this Rav4 in July. The seller said the battery was dead. I bought a new battery, installed it and started the engine. The engine seized. I found over 2 GALLONS of oil in it. I had the engine replaced with a used engine. (It was marked as having 76,000 miles on it.) The old engine and replacement engine both had/have California emission controls (that work fine). I got the Rav4 tagged for 2 years. The odometer read something like 167, 876 the last time I noted it. I am driving this Rav some to keep the battery charged. I had to remove the tint on the front side and back windows to pass inspection. The back window was so scrapped up I replaced the vinyl in it. I have replaced the 2 front tires, the radio, the rear speakers, the back door panel, the battery and the engine. The tool compartment is missing the door. There are some cracks in the interior panels and the soft top roof is the original and shows signs of aging. It is 14 years old. The interior could use a cleaning but is in good condition. All 4 seats are intact and work fine. It’s a fun car to drive but I want a scooter now. It’s quick, gets about 23 mpg and lots of looks. There aren’t too many Rav4 Cabrios around here. The reserve is low so be sure to bid soon. It won’t last long. It’s advertised locally so I reserve the right to cancel this auction if sold locally.
