Vehicle Detail
Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this absolutely incredible 1965 f-100. It comes with a fully restored and rebuilt 302 V-8. This pick up is in wonderful condition with a color combination of the Hunter Green exterior repaint and restored interior with white Trim. This is by far one of the nicest ford pick up's around and it sound's / drives incredible. Everything is working on this truck, and it has been used as a daily driver. This truck is in very straight condition inside and out, equipped with a powerful 302 V8 engine , dual mirrors, nice bumper, grill, vintage paint job, very nice oversize brand new Cooper Cobra tires less than 20 miles, New Wheel vintiques "Ford Retro Rims". This truck drives like a 65 right from the show room. It is a real head turner, I often take it to shows where it gets a lot of attention. Of course it has a few issues but it is a driver, something to enjoy and not to sit in a garage somewhere. I challenge you to find a better example anywhere..... rides and drives like brand new, and looks as good or not better than the pic's below, folks this truck is super straight and Tight, ready to go. Value in collector cars is all about the right color combination and original condition. This truck has never been butchered or hot rodded, mudded, shade tree repaired, patched up or any other silly stuff, Adult owned. The engine was replaced with a more modern 302 by the previous owner. I installed a K&N breather with a chrome cover but I have the original Ford Air Breather canister and filter. I also have the original dog dishes and trim rings with the original wheels and tires. Interior is like new with NEW floor liner (ford used rubber in those days) New recovered seat, Painted dash, original instrument cluster and all gauges including the speedometer work. It does need a headliner which is about $200. The engine install is a very good job and the engine runs well with NO leaks. Starts up and runs every time, just a bump of the key is all that is needed. The timing and the carb were issues when I bought this truck but with timing correctly set and a NEW Holley 2bbl carb the engine runs great and I would not be afraid to take this baby on a short road trip to any of the local car shows. The tranny is a manual 3 speed, "Three on the Tree". The shifter has new linkage and shifts as it should. The tranny don't leak on my garage floor, shifts smooth and don't make any noise. The rear end was recently rebuilt, NEW 350 gears and all the seals and stuff were replaced. Again, NO LEAKS in my garage. I have kept the truck in a garage or covered and sheltered carport since I got it. The paint job is shiny and no major flaws. More of a driver quality but a professional job. It has no Rust issues and is NOT a rust bucket. A few paint blemishes here and there but NO HOLES or cancer. A few blems on the front of the hood are the most noticeable but I would call it a 10 footer. (anything is not noticeable at more than 10 foot). Otherwise the body is in very good condition. Previous owners welded a piece of flat Iron plate in the bed, decent job and coated it with some DIY bed liner. I was going to have a liner sprayed in but figured that would just drive up the price and the new owner could do that. The bed is NOT bad and could be showed as is. Doors and hood work as expected but as with any old truck it could use a few tweaks. I've tried to be as honest about the body condition as possible. NEW Cooper Cobra tires with Wheel Vintique "Ford Retro" rims. These tires have less that 50 miles and still have the teets on the tread. The exhaust is new dual flowmasters, the Rad was recored by the previous owner. The steering and brakes are as they should be but the front left is a little hangy, I might have time to check it out before the auction but it has new shoes all around, likely a bleed issue. TIGHT STEERING AND YOU CAN LET GO OF THE WHEEL WHILE DRIVING, NO DRIFT OR PULLUING. I drive it at 60 mph with no problem at all. All the windows and doors work as well as all the lights, wipers, heater, and it has a new AM/FM/CD with new speakers behind the seat. New gas tank. The previous owner just ran out of time and money on this and I drove it around for a while and got the rest of the bugs out of it. Been to several shows and it is a head turner, I would not be hesitant at all to put this in any show as a driver. I've tried to be as honest about the old truck as possible. I'm not a professional mechanic but know a good truck when I sit in the driver seat. This baby is nice. I would not hesitate to drive it 500 miles. You should trailer it though. U-Haul car haulers are CHEAP... and most modern 1/2 ton pick-ups will pull them no problem. Also I would be willing to work out some kind of delivery meeting in one of the interstates but NO SHIPPING. I-10, Tallahassee Florida. I-10/I-75 Lake City. I-4 Orlando - Tampa. I-75 Macon Ga. I-10 Mobile, Al. Some of the places I MIGHT consider for the 125 trailer rental and 200 for fuel which would save you about 500 miles from most points in the southeast. All details would be worked out BEFORE auction end. You will pay $500 paypal deposit within 12 hours and the rest in CASH at delivery. I have a CLEAN Florida title. All Matching numbers on the Body and Title. The best part is that somebody else has already spent the money to do it right and you can own it for a fraction of the cost. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY, THE TRUCK IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY COOL TRUCK..On Jan-16-12 at 10:58:55 PST, seller added the following information:Added two pictures as asked by a bidder. 1 photo of the blem on the hood above thr "R" in Ford. Another picture of the bed. The bed is in good condition. Please remember, the truck is 48 years old.On Jan-18-12 at 03:38:05 PST, seller added the following information:Some "expert" just e-mailed me and said, a couple of pieces of the trim are from a 64. OMG, just to let you folks know. The engine is a 302 and the wheels are aftermarket. The truck has been to several shows, it has always had nothing but compliments and best remarks, after all it is a 48 year old truck in un-molested condition. So if you don't mind a few pieces of 64 trim on a 65 then please continue to consider my cool little truck.
