The car was delivered to the winner at their home in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new owner drove it back to Phoenix, and there he titled it in his company's name (so the carfax shows 3 owners, but the transfer was from the Casino, to the owner, and the 2nd transfer was to the same person, he "sold" it to his company for tax reasons). In October of 2006 he transferred the title into his own name again. Over the next three years he put 16,500 miles on it. The 2nd owner purchased it October 2009 and it was his "daily driver" for the last two years. Carfax shows four owners but there were only two owners in reality. I have documentation of all of the ownership history. The stereo has been up-graded and is "roof-off" freeway compatible now. If you've ever driven an Elise with the stock radio then you know how sad the factory system is. Last summer the owner had a run in with a curb stop, when he had the repair done, he had the license plate plinth shaved and the winglets deleted for better ground clearance and the "clear bra" installed. I have had a LOT of compliments on this, I guess they do it to Corvettes on a regular basis to prevent "curb rash", it was done at a custom shop in Scottsdale and cost well over $4,000.00 so you know it was done to the highest standards. Dealer serviced at Lotus of Scottsdale (have records). Oil changes with Mobile 1 synthetic always. There are no problems with the car. It's ready for a drive across the country. THE LOTUS IS THE LIGHTEST WEIGHT SPORTS CAR ON THE MARKET AND THE BEST HANDLING CAR IN THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MANY. LOTUS HAS ALWAYS HELD THE PHILOSOPHY OF PERFORMACE THROUGH LIGHTWEIGHT - THERE IS NOT A CAR MORE TRUE TO THIS PHILSOPHY THAN THE ELISE. WITH 190 HP IT IS NOT THE BIGGEST ENGINE ON THE BLOCK, BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY WHEN DEALING WITH A CHASIS THAT WEIGHS 150 LBS AND TOTAL WEIGHT OF UNDER 2000 LBS, 0-60 IN 4.9 SECONDS. NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license. I am a classic car nut, I also have a ranch, wedding venue, horses, trailers, etc... let's just say I bought and sold a few too many for the state's liking, and due to the fact that they need revenue desperately- they decided to fine me when I sold a few more that what I'm "allowed", long story short- they got a bunch of my money, so that I can continue to do what any citizen of this great country should have the right to do. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end. Paypal CANNOT be used for full payment, they have too many fees that come out of the seller's pocket. Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before the truck leaves my sight. There are no "title fees" or "doc fees" like the typical dealers have because as far as I can tell, that's just a way to get an extra couple hundred dollars from someone. Please check my feedback, you'll see that I don't sell very many vehicles- but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold over the years. I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a "consignment" type of sale. I have never liked most car dealers and am not all that thrilled to be "one of them". This is a used vehicle and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. This car is in wonderful condition, but please be realistic- it is used, it is not "perfect" there are minor imperfections I'm sure. I would welcome and recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection. I will make it available throughout the auction for any and all inspections, just call and we'll set up a time.
