For sale today is a nice 1969 Mustang 428 Cobrajet. This is NOT a CLONE or WANNABEE. It is a TRUE Q Code Fastback, with original 1) buck tag, 2) door tag and 3) dataplate all in tact. Last registered in 2003. Fast forward to 2011... After several thousand dollars of nuts and bolts restore the 428 Cobrajet engine is ready to go. Professional machinist rebuild. True 428 Cobrajet parts including crankshaft, rods, stronger lift cam, Mallory distributor. 4 barrel Holley carburetor. Balanced and blueprinted. Interior is all intact. Car only has 77680 actual miles (reflected on the title). All glass in tact All original seats/interior including flip down All wood grain in tact All original gauges and clusters All original floor panels, frame rails torque boxes and core... Car looks good and can easily be turned into a $50,000-$75,000 monster. She could use some body and interior touching up here and there, and a few liberties were taken with the body emblems, but the core of this car is still original and solid from side to side and front to back. The C6 automatic was pulled in order to do a changeover to a toploader 4-speed but never done...The drivetrain will remain open for now, in case the new buyer wants to install a toploader.
