They don't build them like this anymore. All original 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis. The body is straight and in great shape for a car that is 33 years old. The interior is all original and only has a few minor things wrong. There's a crack on the dash, and the rear drivers side ash tray is lose. It has power windows, and they all work. The tires have 80% tread left. It has the original 460 engine which cranks and runs great, and the original transmission. This car was owned by my grandfather until 2005, he kept meticulous records. He even wrote down every time he got gas, how many gallons and the mileage. Car has been garage kept most of its life and includes a car cover with purchase. Only issue with this car is it does leak oil. I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure it's a rear main seal that's leaking. I was not able to crank and drive the car this summer due to personal reasons, and I think some of the seals dried out. It cranks and idles great, and has a Holley carb. I will include the original carb as well. Also, it doesn't have a muffler so it is loud, but that can be fixed easily. Car has air conditioning, but needs refrigerant, and needs to be converted to r134a. My grandfather and I both ran amsoil in this car. It has been well maintained and would make a great car for someone.
