Most Foresters of the 2.5XT series were manufactured with an automatic transmission; this 5 speed model with limited slip rear differential puts the fun back in driving. This is not just another boring car in your driveway. This car has every option that is possible with this model, including a trailer hitch which has never been used. Other pluses include heated seats, 6 CD changer, 120W radio with 7 speakers and 1 subwoofer, large moon roof, auto dim rear view mirror with compass, and black leather seats. Recent "surprise" has our family of four growing by one by mid-summer. This has been a wonderfully reliable family vehicle and a delight to drive. But for the need for additional space, we would not consider selling this car. We've had this car for 5 years, bought certified pre-owned, and it has one previous owner. We have maintained the Forester with all the necessary service checks and the Subaru Gold Plan Warranty. Since March 2011 we have resurfaced brake rotors, replaced battery, replaced 4 tires (Oct 2011), and serviced the air conditioning. This car has always been a non smoking car. The car has a five-star safety rating according to IIHS with antilock brake system and side air bags. Is this car perfect? Not quite, but close. There are a few scuffs in the clearcoat and rear molded bumper, and three or four very minor dings. The right front hood ding may show up in photos, the others are hard to find. Zero rust.
