RARE 1980 AMC Spirit hatchback in great condition... fully restored and well-maintained interior, original I4 Pontiac "Iron Duke" engine, frame free of major rust. Recent work includes new alternator, fuel pump, tires, rebuilt carb, oil & plugs changed. This vehicle is in excellent shape, but needs some work to get back on the road. There is a wiring issue between the alternator, battery and/or the starter, which is preventing the battery from holding a charge, and the carb will need to be adjusted as well. Non-critical work to be done includes replacing the struts and brake pads. This is a great little hatchback and is very close to being a well-restored classic car... I just don't have the time or money to do so. As detailed above, this vehicle is in very good condition both mechanically and cosmetically (see pictures) and is only a couple steps away from being roadworthy.
