Up for auction is a 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe Project, with a 32 Custom Frame. I’m SELLING WITH BILL OF SALE ONLY, but it does have a VIN plate. It is an original rust free metal body. It has been professionally chopped and has not been channeled. It comes with the original fenders and running boards. Also has the wide fiberglass rear fenders and the really nice fiberglass rear hatch with hinge kit. The guy that was building the car past away, and I bought the car from the family. I don’t know much about these old cars. They have shaved the outer door handles and comes with new power solenoids. The car still has most of it’s original wood in the shell. It has had the grooved top professionally installed. This is really a very nice body. The doors open and shut like new. Here’s what I do know: The engine was done at Feezle’s Machine Shop, beside Linconfelters in Decatur IN. I went in and talked to him before I purchased this car from the estate. He assured me that this engine had no short cuts. It was a 454, he installed a new crank and completely balanced engine using new forged pistons. The head are completely new done with titanium vales and harden seats, new springs, roller rockers and ect. He said they spent about $6,000 at the machine shop and anyone was welcome to call and confirm. There was about another $3,000. Spent on intake carbs, air cleaners and headers. It has a new rebuilt Turbo 400 with shift kit and converter. This car has a really nice 32 custom frame with a 4 link 9” posi rearend with 323 gears. Has the 4 link front suspension with disc brakes and chrome rack and pinion steering. It has new Firestone Tires and wheels. Has new custom aluminum radiator, new headlights and housings, some wiring harnesses and some other stuff not sure just what all, but I will go through and get everything for the 31. I also bought a 29 2 Door Sedan all steel Street Rod Project that he was building and it will be for sale later, so I will figure out what goes with each car or you can come and help me figure it out. I know that this is a very sought after street rod. This car would be worth a lot of money finished. There has been tons of money and time already spent. So if you’re planning to build a street rod you would be hard pressed to find a nicer 5 window coupe body. I may consider offers without the engine.
