TRUCK IS LOCATED IN WINSTON-SALEM, NC. I AM LISTING THIS FOR MY FATHER. Truck runs and drives great. Fly in, drive it home. Clear title, etc. This is a good example of a nearly rust-free, in good running order 4X4 2nd owner Silverado. Hard to find in this condition. This has belonged to my 67 year old father since 1990 and had 21,834 miles on it when he purchased it. It was purchased from the original owner and was cosmetically restored at this time (new paint, etc). He has lovingly cared for it everyday since. He has purchased a new 4X4, hence the sale. Most all records since his purchase. Even all inspection receipts, etc. Total of $3383.35 in maintenance. Brand New Primewell 235/75-15 Tires in early 2011 with 1300 miles on them since! Latest major maintenance items were upper ball-joints(1993), rebuild carb(1998), radiator(1994), valve cover gaskets(2003), transmission flush and fill, replace oil sending unit(2007). TRAILER BALLS DO NOT COME WITH TRUCK. However, I do have the original side rails, passenger side emblem(broken) and I have the side covers for the door pulls on both the door panels. You are bidding on one 1984 Chevrolet Silverado C/K series 4x4 Pickup. Oshawa, Ontario, Canada plant production,1/2 ton, Standard cab, Shortbed, 305 V-8, 4 Barrel Carburetor, Dual Gas Tanks. ALL OPTIONS(Automatic Transmission, Cruise, A/C, Power Locks and Windows, Tilt Wheel, Intermittent Wipers, 4 speed 700R4 Turbo-Hydramatic. New Process 208 Transfer case(Aluminum Case). I am not sure about axle ratios. The numbers on the rear axle are GM36 and 1405525. The numbers on the Front axle are 074 and 14030376 and GM8. A/C has been converted over to R-134. Nice Slim-Line cover installed and painted to match in 2005. Passenger cab corner has small rust through area. Some rust underneath rear-most trim on passenger rear quarter, and only surface rust in very small areas here and there. I HAVE DOCUMENTED ALL AREAS IN PHOTOS. Underside is rust-free except for normal surface rust. Bed in excellent condition. Here are the details: ENGINE: Runs great, no issues. A little cold natured at start-up, but it's a 1984 305 with a 4 Barrel Carb. After a minute or two it runs just fine.Tailpipe has come loose from the rear muffler so there is no exhaust from rear muffler to back of truck. TRANSMISSION: Shifts great, has very small leak from front seal, normal for this era 700R4. ELECTRICAL: Everything working except power windows. The switches are good, there is probably a short between the door and the body where the wires pass through as was told to my dad by his mechanic. You can hot wire the switches and they work. All other electrical working...even the clock! A/C and Heat work great. The heater fan has a whine to it when you first turn it on, but it goes away, more so in the lower fan setting than the highest speed. Does not affect performance. Dual gas tanks working great. All electrical refreshed awhile back for tanks. Wired for trailer with 4-wire connector. BODY: No dents. Was cosmetically restored in 1991 to a very high standard. Clear has faded on the hood. Paint good everywhere else, just needs a good wax. Body does have some rust that has appeared. This is noted above and you can see all areas on photobucket. Weatherstripping in fair to good condition. CHASSIS: Solid as you can get. Only normal surface rust. Brand New Tires!!! Good brakes, power steering works great, 4X4 works awesome. INTERIOR: Door panels good. I have side chrome covers for door pulls. Driver side of bench seat has spring wear and sits kind of low. My Dad just always put a few stadium cushions on it and it was fine. Headliner has fallen and put back up with pushpins. Carpet good, could stand some cleaning to get out some old stains.
