Well maintained 1984 Mercedes 300CD 2 door coupe. Car was purchased new in Northern California and has spent it's entire life in California, so there are no rust issues AT ALL. I have only a few pictures to post for now, I will post more later. The car is currently having a complete new paint job and it still in the paint shop. The paint was faded, but there was no body damage. I am selling this for my brother in the Bay Area southeast of San Francisco as he does not have an Ebay account. If you have any questions, you can call (510)774-1550 and ask for Ray. There is a large stack of receipts going back to the early 2000s when my brother bought the car. The front springs were replaced due to minor sagging from the weight of the diesel engine. The control arm bushings were replaced and an alignment done. The brakes were just replaced. The left door was replaced due to a poor previous repair of the window regulator. The interior has had many pieces replaced due to sun fade. Weatherstripping was replaced around the doors; it is water and air tight; it is very quiet inside even at 75mph. The flywheel has been replaced, the front tires are new and the back ones are at 50-60%. The rear seat was re-upholstered and the first aid kit lid replaced. The wood trim in the center console was replaced. Now, for the negatives: The radio isn't getting power, not sure why. The sunvisors are faded and cracked. The air conditioning loses it's charge after a while due to a leak somewhwere. For a 28 year old vehicle, this is in very nice condition. It has had 2 adult owners since new and has been very well maintained. This would be a good candidate for veggie or other diesel-substitute fuels. It has always been run on diesel; it's never been run on any other type of fuel. $500.00 deposit due within 48 hours via PayPal. On Jan-02-12 at 19:27:22 PST, seller added the following information: Just to clarify, ALL the brakes have been rebuilt, including new calipers on the front, so all brakes are new within the last 5K miles. The latest brake repair was done 2 weeks ago for over $600.00. There are no leaks anywhere from the engine or transmission. The car needs nothing except for the items listed above. On Jan-06-12 at 07:09:30 PST, seller added the following information: I have added 2 new pictures from closer up. The car has new paint now which is slightly lighter than the original paint. Still looks very nice and has preserved the body. To duplicate the exact color of the paint would have cost several thousand dollars and the value of the car did not warrant spending that much. Very presentable, good running, dependable car.
