This listing is for a 1955 Chevrolet Truck, 3100 Series. This truck is 95% original. The wheels/tires, steering wheel, and air cleaner are the only things that are not original. This is an all matching numbers truck and it is a California Truck. I purchased this truck 2 years ago. I purchased this truck to use as my business truck and I have been working on it off and on. Due to current circumstances and for personal reasons, I have to sell the truck. This truck still requires some minor body work (i have sanded about 50% of the body) and paint, it needs brakes, it needs new wood in the bed, the passenger glass and windshield need to be replaced. I have done the following to this truck; I have replaced the distributor, the regulator, the horn relay, the ballast resistor, the coil, the fan belt, the thermostat, the plugs, the ignition wires, the distributor cap, the battery, the negative cable, the starter switch, the fuel filters, the fuel pump, the intake manifold, the exhaust manifold, and rebuilt the carburetor. I have re-done the wiring from the ignition switch (due to deteriorated wires). The radiator has been boiled out and pressure tested. I have sanded and painted the firewall, inner fenderwells (front and back), the underside of the fenders, the entire grille area, the radiator and support, the front bumper, and all of the frame in the engine compartment area. I have replaced 80% of the hardware on the front end to include the bumper bolts and all of the hardware for the grille, radiator, support, and fenders. I have removed a majority of the wood from the bed because it was in such bad shape. This truck runs good. The engine starts right away and there are no oil leaks. The transmission shifts good and other than maybe needing adjustment, the clutch works good. I bought this truck from the nephew of the original owner. He told me the speedometer reflects the original mileage (87,000) and after looking under the valve cover and at the truck overall, I tend to believe that he was being completely honest. There are 2 spots that have minor cancer and that is on the bottom front corners of each door (reflected in the pictures). With respect to the rest of the body, there are minor dings and typical scratches you will normally find on a pick up truck. I believe I have covered everything.
