Vehicle Detail

Classic 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 50,100 miles -- Buy it Now for $4950 Carfax and past records available I have two used SUVs, I don't have a job, and my wife politely told me it is probably time for one to go. I bought this vintage classic to refurbish, never actually did, and really don't want to sell it. Finished in its original crème color, with characteristic wood paneling, and a leather tan interior, this Grand Wagoneer is in good condition inside and out. It runs and rides well. I used it in Winter during 2010, in the worst of weather, and it plows through snow banks like a Sherman tank. Great usable Winter vehicle. Condition This is not in mint condition. It is a 23 year old vehicle that was never refurbished. It is in fair shape, but has some dings, rust and dents. This Woody could use some TLC, and a paint job. Since I drive it often, I never wanted to trick it out. What you see is what you get; there is no cosmetic patching put on from me. Go to Ebay or Google, type in '1988 Jeep Wrangler", and you'll find most mint condition vehicles with this low mileage regularly sell for $12,000 to $29,000 or more. Problems Headliner -- the fabric covering the ceiling -- was off before I bought it. I've read this is common. It has a problem with rear driver side power window not working. It will need to be fixed. When I put in a brand new heater, the oil power gauge quit working, and was never fixed. This is an electrical problem. Again, there are dings, rust and dents, all there when I bought it. Overview This highly capable SUV is rugged as well as comfortable and has tons of cargo room. Switchable Four-Wheel-Drive and a 2-Speed Transfer case make an ideal road or off-road truck! Built like the good old days, the Wagoneer has power everything. A new heater was installed in the last 600 miles, and I had a mechanic go over everything when I bought it, and again before putting it up for sale. The Wagoneer essentially created the premium SUV niche, and was produced way before the SUV became the trend in the 1990's. Jeep is now planning on reviving the Grand Wagoneer nameplate for a new seven-seat SUV that will roll out in January of 2013. You'll have the original. Come take a test drive.
