For Sale BMW R80 GS with a Paris Dakar 8.3 gallon tank! I honestly never thought this bike would leave the fleet and somehow I know I will regret this but, I need the cash for other projects. I bought this bike from an old customer of mine named Ron. And Ron, if you are out there and want this bike back, Contact me and I will end the auction and sell it back to you. Anyhow, This bike saw a new top-end about 26 k ago. When I got it from Ron it had a bad input shaft and needed a clutch. So, The gearbox has all new bearings, input shaft, and seals. the clutch is new, the swing-arm bearings are new, tires replaced, and the fork seals were just done. This bike is a rider and it has a lot of miles on her and has a lot more left. She has been serviced and repaired by factory trained techs. I have the stock tank and the original orange seat that was dyed black. It will need a re-cover. The 4 gallon tank has one small dent in the front. It is clean and still has factory coating and comes as seen with cap. I have some of the factory tool kit but, not all. The fairing has a crack in it and can easliy be repaired. The center stand works but is not the greatest. I think it's from a R100 GS. I had plans of really going through this bike and making cosmetically beautiful but I just don't have the cash or time. Mechanically, it's sound and I would jump on it and take it wherever. I will require a $500 deposit 48 hours after the auction ends. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining payment due can be paid when the bike is picked-up or if the bike is being shipped, I will require a certified check or money order before it is shipped.
