Vehicle Detail

Here is a great piece of automotive MOPAR muscle up for auction. This rare 1967 Formula S Fastback Barracuda is in great shape. As you know, 1967 was the first of the 2nd generation Barracuda. The engine bay was a few inches wider to make room for the big blocks. While the VIN indicates a 273 2BBL, the extra inches were used for a correct year (1967) 440 with fender well headers. Was told it was a dealer install by Hinkley Dodge in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since then a 750 Holley 4BBL carb has been added. This might be a lot of carburetor if you just want to cruise around. The 440 puts the horse power to the road through a 727 automatic transmission and a 4:11 posi rear end. The 440 runs great and the transmission shifts well. The power steering is still here. Was an air conditioned car but no longer there. The odometer shows 5,179 but assume it is 105,179. The body is very solid. The trunk, floor pans, frame rails, spring perches and the rest of the undercarriage are all without issue. As the pictures show the car had undercoating done. I believe there is a small patch of body filler about 3 inches square where some body filler has been used. The glass is fine, the bumpers are straight and the tires are great. The original fender tag is still attached and is has an original build sheet. The paint is very good but has just a few small cracks and spots. Not perfect but really good for a driver. The interior is in good shape. The headliner is fine. Dash is great. Seats are pretty good but there is a small tear in passenger seat and one in the rear seat. All electrical works fine. If the pictures don’t answer all your questions, please e-mail or call 517 750-7083. If you include a phone number in the e-mail, I will call you. This vehicle is being sold in “as is” condition.
