A really nice 1956 Chevy 210 2-door post built from a rust free car and made to run fast. It has all of the right components at a very low price. Has a small block Chevy with a stroker kit to displace 383 cubic inches. Has a turbohydramatic 350 three speed transmission and a GM 10 bolt differential with 411 positraction gears. Has an Edelbrock 750 cfi 4-barrel carb, Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock air cleaner (new filter element). Has Hooker headers and a Flowmaster exhaust system. Autogage tack with shifting light. (used as speedometer since it does not work--3,200=65 mph, 3400= 70mph, etc.) There is a Comp cam, a Mallery ingition system and Mickey Thompson racing tires (rear) (BF Goodrich fronts). Aluminum radiator from Danchuck. Front disk and rear drum brakes with new spindles. Weld Racing wheels. New battery. Fresh lubricant changes. Starts, runs and handles like a good rod should. The paint is from House of Kolars, but was applied by amateurs. Chrome and stainless in good to excellent condition (except for defect in grill-see photo). Trunk hard to latch and hood hard to un-latch. Interior is in good condition, but not to everyone's taste. Underside looks nice and clean and includes a new fuel tank. New glass. Lots of new knobs and handles. All windows roll. Some Bel Air trim added. Nice tach. Nice under-hood wiring. Nicely detailed under-hood items. Nice AM/FM/Tape system with Sony amp (Was working when I bought it a few days ago-it turns on but I am not getting sound now. Probably just my unfamiliarity with the system or a loose wire.) This is an 11 year old frame-on build, with steady improvements through the intervening years. Total cost said to be $30,000. Many receipts come with the car. (I have not added them up.) Racing quality lubricants used through its life. Only raced 2 or 3 times back in 2000 (before new wheels and tires added-ETs below 11 sec. with 120 mph tops). I have driven it about 100 miles without an issue. Some more engine build details: TRW Forged Pistons; Speed Pro Rings; Scat Cat Crank; high volumn oil pump; Double Roller Timing Chain; 991 Closed Chamber Heads; Mickey Thompson finned valve covers. Summary of Known Negatives: 1. Paint job; 2. Hood latch; 3. Trunk latch; 4. Interior design and colors; 5. Grill damage; 6. Weak horn; 7. Over painted cowl tag and VIN plate; 8. Prior owner sprayed WD-40 on new hood hinges and springs, so does not stay up well (you probably know a cure for this one); 9. Not all gages work, but under-dash gages replace all but speedometer; 10. Some original gages don't work (temp, oil pressure & charging don't, fuel does; under dash takes care of oil pressure, voltage and temp) ; 11. No doubt others I am not thinking of or have yet to discover. I bought this car to sell, but it is growing on me. Please call or email questions.
