Vehicle Detail
I have been an Austin Healey enthusiast for many years, and have always had a deep affection for the Bugeye Sprites. They are my favorite British Sports car combining simplicity with great drivability. Nothing drives quite like a Sprite. They handle like a go cart, yet are reliable and practical enough to be used daily. In fact my first car was a Sprite! This example is a great restored driver with quite a few upgrades, yet all were done in period style. It has been taken down to the body tub and fully redone. Every nut and bolt has been restored or replaced. It has absolute no rust or damage. It is finished in a deep solid black which was done to a great standard and remains in great shape. It is shiny and there are no scrapes bubbles or other damage. The interior was also done during the restoration too and is still in wonderful shape. The seats, panels and carpet are great with no wear. It has been upgraded with wire wheels which are very rare to see on a bugeye. Mechanically it is in great shape. The engine trans and all mechanical components have been gone through when the car was restored. This includes the entire brake system which was replaced with new master cylinder, metal and rubber lines, wheel cylinders, calipers, rotors and pads. It runs great, does not smoke, make any bad noises or pop out of gear. The brakes are great bringing it to a stop solidly and without pulling to either side. It has all its weather equipment including a newer black soft top which is in great shape as well as the new sliding plexiglass side curtains. While not perfect, this is a very nice restoration that has seen limited use. Cars of this caliber rarely come up for sale. I am reluctantly parting with this car, so Please be a serious bidder. Terms: This car must be paid for within 5 days of auction end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however, I can help arrange with a friend of mine at a substantial discount. Example $450 to Southern California. Sold as is where is with no guarantees or warranty. To contact me directly, call 405-420-6996 On Dec-14-11 at 08:41:31 PST, seller added the following information:
