Please note: 5 day auction!!! Rare opportunity to own a low mileage classic bodystyle Toyota 4wd Pickup truck that has been well taken care of throughout its life. I will also apologize up front as this description might/will jump around a bit and the number of pictures (duplicates) is likely overwhelming. This isn't a pieced together or "project" Toyota where parts were accumulated here and there. The VIN #s match on all the fenders/doors/hood/etc. All the VIN stickers are intact. The truck just turned 80,000 miles and these miles are 100% original/authentic. No accidents/no surprises/rust free/unrestored. Probably one of the finest 1988 Toyota 4x4 trucks around. Some details... Mileage: 80,050 (3rd owner). 2nd owner inherited truck from his father when he passed away. I purchased the truck mid 2007. There's also an aux 12v strip pictured below the dash (I had this installed back in 2007). Interior (Canopy):Stock with exception of the 12v outlets mounted on rt bedside. Notes on the truck:I've taken excellent care of it. I don't want there to be any surprises. Therefore, I will list the items I'm aware of. All photos below accurately depict the current condition of the truck:1) The truck had a partial wrap (advertisement during my ownership and there's slight clearcoat peeling on the canopy. The truck was always garaged and any evidence of the wrap is minimal (almost impossible to capture in any photograph). The truck was used in a few parades and local events. When not in use it was garaged. 2) I swapped out the original center caps (still have all 4 - one of the original rear center caps was dinged). I liked the look of the black caps, so I stuck with those. 3) There is a security system, but I have never used it/armed it/tinkered with it. I never cared to know anything about the alarm system. I have my own security system where the truck has been garaged. The truck has a factory sunroof (I have never removed the sunroof cover), original AM/FM cassette with 4 speakers (all original and listed on the factory window sticker), and the original chrome wheels. In the past 5000 miles, the truck has had the following work done:BrakesTiming Belt/Water Pump (77,138)Radiator Hoses/beltsEngine oil recently serviced with syntheticTires (4) - spare is originalI have always used synthetic fluids with Toyota oil filters and the previous owner used Amsoil in the engine/drivetrain. Toyota Red Antifreeze has been the coolant used in the truck. This truck has never been smoked in (the cigarette lighter/ash tray are both original to the truck). It has always been garaged during my ownership. The 2nd owner had a carport during his brief ownership (remember, he inherited the truck and was selling as the truck was too small for his needs). I recently removed the seat covers and the seats look about as close to new as it gets. A few items were added for safety purposes:fire extinguisherMaglite flashlight bracket mountsSeatbelt cutting tool and window punch (mounted on passenger side kick panel) The paint is quite amazing considering most of these trucks have been repainted. This truck has not been repainted and looks outstanding for being 23 years old. I have seen very few Toyotas that even come close to the condition of this truck. The valance below the bumper is not original. I replaced it as the original one had small rock chips/etc. Obviously, this isn't a new truck and there are imperfections in the paint. I'd say the most notable would be a minor scratch on the rt rear bedside near the tail lamp/canopy. Again, very difficult to capture with a photo, but it's there and should be known. Very minor ding in rear bumper (see picture - along the top edge - approx. 1/2").I removed the front skid plate to show the front differential and additional front suspension details. The spare tire, tools, and jack are all there and look as though they haven't been used. I don't believe the truck has ever towed anything since it isn't wired for towing and shows no evidence of a hitch/ball. I am a longtime eBay member and take great pride in my feedback. I've done my best to represent this truck as accurately as possible. I am a longtime Toyota enthusiast and this truck has treated me well during the 4+ years I have owned it. Like this truck, most of the Toyota pickups I own are unrestored/low mileage trucks that I have taken a great deal of pride in. However, I plan on simplifying my life and reducing the number of vehicles I own. I don't sell cars for a living and never have (nothing against those that do for a living). I have sold maybe 4 to 5 vehicles on Ebay over the past 8 years and each transaction went very well. I am nearing the end of the restoration of a 1983 Toyota SR5 pickup 4x4 which has taken much of my free time. I am tired of being a slave to my vehicles and figure there are other Toyota geeks/enthusiasts that might enjoy/appreciate these older trucks like I have. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. It runs/drives/handles like one would expect from a low mileage Toyota. The vehicle is sold as-is/where-is. No warranty either express or implied. You are welcome to have the local Toyota dealer inspect the vehicle at your expense. I can arrange to take it there. Short term storage isn't a problem as long as the truck is paid for.
