For Sale: 1953 Buick Super or Special (I'm not sure which) Model 48D Two-Door Coupe. This car is an EXCELLENT restoration project. It was purchased by my brother in Hamburg, Iowa around which to build a RAT-ROD, but he now has other projects in place.Has a straight-eight (TOTALLY ASSEMBLED and COMPLETE - I was mistaken but my brother corrected me - and NOT STUCK) and an automatic transmission. It has excellent front and back windows, but most of the side glass is missing. Obviously some side chrome trim is missing, but is less necessary if purchased as a Rat Rod project or readily-available after-market if desired. Fair body. Much of the chrome is pretty good. Much of the body is pretty straight. Springs and under-carriage seem intact. Obviously missing some of the interior trim and upholstery, but again - much of the interior is pretty intact.Brother is selling this car for much less than it is worth. He just wants it gone in the next two weeks. Buyer is totally responsible for removing the car from my brother's property in Hamburg, IA.
